Sammy _ØB You missed a lot of legends. I started in 2002. I’m a fan of many players so I watched (still do) many different teams. I didn’t support any club because every club had some legends that I liked. But after I saw how Pep’s Barcelona played, I instantly became a fan. The best team play football I’ve ever seen. Each player had his own magic. And I like his style so much that I used to watch most of Bayern games and now I watch city. But Barcelona will always be my favorite.

Roland Ilosvay I also don’t like Bayern but I liked how they played under pep. And my cousin is BvB fan! The most memorable game was 2013 semi vs RM 4-1. What a game. Insane atmosphere. Insane crowd. Insane performance. Insane reactions by klopp. I think I’ve never seen my cousin so happy like that night xD! One day I want to go to signal iduna park and stand with the yellow army!

It would work, 4 teams went down in the first season and then in the second it became 3. The first season had 22 teams and they condensed it to 20 with 4 down and 2 up.

Busquests was brilliant at his peak, but if this generation includes these last 3 years, he is not as kante, casemiro and vidal all shone these past 3-4 years. Busquets is one of the most *consistent* cdms of this generation due to the fact that he has done a great job for barça. Best cdm of his generation? Debatable cuz of the time of this generation.

Kante became the first player to win the pl with 2 different clubs, vidal has became a midfield titan with bayern (he might have been part of their treble winning side. Might need to check it) and Casemiro has played a pivotal role in real madrids 3 champions league success

@@saintroddy Great midfield as well. Toss of a coin actually, in terms of achievements, they're pretty much identical. Toure won more than KDB has so far, but Fernandinho wasn't part of the team for the first few trophies Toure won. Yaya in his prime at City was the most complete midfielder I have personally ever seen. Was strong physically, both on and off the ball, could tackle, was fast, had brilliant control, was good in the air, had a great shot, really good free kick ability and somehow still had great vision as well. KDB is better in terms of workrate and final ball ability, but wasn't as strong as Yaya and not as good a shooter as him. Both trios are equal imo actually

The trio Pogba, Pirlo and Vidal not even mentioned, that midfield was amazing, they (and Claudio Marchisio) carried the Juventus on Top of Serie A after many awful years. Just to remember, the attacking players were Vucinic, Matri, Llorente and Giovinco... They deserve a mention

Can't blame them. It's about how much they played together. Pirlo, Marchisio, Pogba, Vidal. They got almost same number of games. That Midfield three was always rotating. So it's a mix of different combinations.

In the 90s, juve generally played 442, with antonio conte playing in the centre midfield while zidane played behind del piero and inzaghi. They were a flat midfield 4 not a trio.

I would pick the Zidane and Figo over Xavi and Iniesta any day. Iniesta and Xavi were masters of the ground game with their Tiki Taka, but Zidane and Figo could play the ground, air, and finish as well.

Hard to argue with this list, and although I agree with the three at number 1, Pirlo and Lothar are my two favourite midfielders. Lothar was an absolute animal and just raised the tempo of the game, and what Pirlo could do from deep was just insane. Loved Zidane also, but he didn’t embody the midfield in the same way as others on the list, he was just a next level gifted player that had a touch better than anyone else I’ve ever seen. Shit I love everyone on this list, Essien, Maka, Davids, Seedorf, fuck me I miss the 90’s early 00’s!

Search for Ely, Danilo and Jorge. They played together in Vasco da Gama between 1946 and 1954. Ely and Danilo were starting players of Brazil in South American Championship in 1949 and WC 1950. Jorge was international too, but not in a WC. They won together 2 international trophies for Vasco.

Reckon there’s a few that would top some of these from the older generations. Zico, Falcão, Socrates in 82 Brazil, Platini, Giresse, Tigana from France 84, although Fernandez probably made that a midfield 4, but still surely in the best 7 ever. Xavi Iniesta Busi definitely the best though, unmatched dominance for club and country simultaneously
