7 Hours in Mysore: Bangalore to Mysore Round-Trip by Train
Join us on an exciting 7-hour journey through the cultural and culinary heart of Mysore! From delectable dosas to majestic palaces, our day was packed with unforgettable experiences. 🌟

*1:05 - Departure from Bangalore*
Our adventure begins in Bangalore, where we take a metro ride to KSR Bangalore City Junction. From there, we hop on a train bound for Mysore, ready for a day full of exploration.
*1:55 - Scenic Train Ride*
As we travel by train, we pass through the picturesque village of Ramanagara, famous as the filming location for the legendary Bollywood movie "Sholay." Alongside the railway tracks, the Mysore Highway offers a stunning parallel view, adding to the scenic charm of our journey.
*2:19 - Arrival in Mysore*
We reached the royal city of Mysore by 2 PM. Our adventure began with a culinary treat at Vinayaka Original Mylari Dosa.
*3:24 - Fluffy Dosas at Vinayaka Original Mylari*
Our first stop was the famous Vinayaka Original Mylari. Known for its fluffy dosas, this place is a must-visit for food lovers. We even got a special kitchen tour! These dosas are not just delicious but also a part of Mysore's culinary legacy.

As evening approached, we explored the magnificent Mysore Palace. Witnessing the 97,200 bulbs lighting up the palace was a magical experience. The palace, a blend of Indo-Saracenic architecture, stands as a testament to the grandeur of the Wodeyar dynasty. The sound and light show narrates the rich history and cultural heritage of Mysore.

Our sweet cravings took us to Guru Sweets, where we tasted the iconic Mysore Pak. Invented in the royal kitchens, this melt-in-the-mouth delicacy has a rich historical significance and remains a beloved sweet across India.

For dinner, we savored the famous mutton palav at Hotel Hanumanthu Original. This dish, known for its unique blend of spices and tender meat, is a culinary gem of Mysore and has been delighting patrons for generations.
