Of all the people Mike could travel back in time to smack, Mike definitely makes the most sense.

Regarding Majora's mask, worse than scanning the lottery is scanning the banker. When you deposit rupees he updates your balance with invisible ink on your hand. When you go back in time, the rupees are no longer in his bank, but you can still withdraw them throwing his whole accounts out of balance.

Honestly if I had time travel powers, investing in sure companies is the best thing. Quantum Break guy had it so right. Forget about saving the world or anything that involves getting up off the couch.

How about Skyrim? Problem with an all powerful planet eating dragon?... Oh just use an Elder scroll to send it forward in time several hundred years. Now it's someone else's problem! 😉

The mission with the time glove in Titanfall 2 was my favorite mission in the game, I loved disappearing and reappearing and killing everyone in only executions, I also loved how their bodies showed up in the future, and it must have been terrifying from their point of view

I would use time travel purely to mess with future historians. Etch "Detective Pikachu is great" into a wall at Pompeii, right an amazingly accurate book of prophecy and keep it safe in some old bank or something. Lot's of little things that they just couldn't explain.

What about in Dishonored 2, where saving Stilton by knocking him out results in a whole other timeline cropping up and poor Billie lurk ends up split between realities

Nanosaur was everything to childhood me, and I've never seen it brought up *anywhere* online or offline since those days. You get an insane amount of internet points for bringing it up and introducing thousands to the glory of Nanosaur! :D

The Bend Time power from Dishonored definitely deserves a place here. Sure, you can just use it to kill guys or escape detection, but the number of ways it can be used to just troll enemies is incredible.

The Prince of Persia series centers around time travel and time traveling powers, would love to see it in a commenters edition. Shout out to POP "Sands of Time" it's ending has you travelling back to the start of the game erasing everything you've done!

Woah. Where is Timeshift? You can pause time to get around enemies, fast forward time to...also get around enemies, and somehow reverse time to get up previously deadly air shafts.

Lots of examples in Spider-Man: Edge of Time. Going back in time to prevent Stark-Fujikawa taking over Alchemex. Having original Spidey destroy a massive robot before it’s built to help Spidey 2099. Fixing an elevator...

Undertale absolutely. I mean, how many times have you gone back just because you forgot you had a pacifist run going and you just kill that one random enemy?

Taking something minutes before it's destroyed minimize the risks of time paradox, the raptors were smart

South Park, Fractured But Whole: Traversing time to bring your past self into the present (an anomaly that usually results in the universe trying to kill the copy in fiction) just so you can beat up a 6th grader.

How about Command&Conquer: Red Alert 3? The Soviets travelled back in time and accidentally killed Albert Einstein, thereby depriving themselves of their best weapon, i.e nuclear missiles.

How about responsible uses of time powers? SPOILER INCOMING!!! In Dishonored 2 you can save Aramis Stilton from going insane by knocking him out before the ceremony that bring Delilah back from the void. This improves everything and everyone's lives in the Dust District.

I feel Ratchet & Clank: A Crack in Time had some form of irresponsible use of time travel. I know Nefarious was planning on rewinding time to kill Ratchet after he supposedly did so. But the aliens gifted time travel abused it so much more. I don’t know a specific area but there must have been something.

Why is the prince of persia NOT on this list? Like How the prince did a big rewind to undo the mistake of unleashing a sand-zombie apocalypse. Then runnig from responsibility from the Time guardian (Dahaka) and taking a woman from the past into the present... which leads to an invasion of his home.

If I had a time machine I would definitely use it to be the first sub for the outside Xbox/Xtra channels. Either that or something more responsible, probably just the first one though.

I would travel back to September 2016 and retrieve the suitcase containing some of my most prized possessions before it got stolen... Alternatively, back to about 2006 or so to get my gran’s excellent recipes before she died. I’ve been trying to emulate her mince sauce for nine years now...

Not a video game example, but Phillip J. "I'm my own Grandpa" Fry from Futurama deserves a mention: goes back in time, gets his grandfather killed, sleeps with his grandmother (resulting in the conception of his father), and partially as a result of this, has "special" brainwaves that make him invisible to a race of telepathic aliens (in other words, he is literally stupid to a cosmically significant degree).

Not a game example, but in the anime movie "The Girl Who Leapt Through Time" the titular character uses the titular power... to extend a karaoke party for several hours. (The film is well worth a watch btw!)

Cortez from timesplitters . The man is constantly messing around whiles trying to "fix" the timeline which includes meeting up with himself despite the warning it could cause a paradox or Jacob Crow who used his time travel an inadvertently created a bunch of Time destroying mutants

using a time manipulation device, i'd crank my personal speed to 5x if ever i get into street fights, that'll mess up the enemy real good (maybe even develop enough speed to run up a building and drop something heavy below), i imagine it would look like the fight scene in the movie immortals (2011), where the greek gods fought the titans at hyperspeed, crushing their skulls while still dropping midair. also, i'd do the following: -spend 14days at a resort when its just a day in the real world; -crank myself up 3x faster and finish a 3hr exam in just 1hr, possibly even maximize perfecting it up to 9hrs; -do anything urgent in half the expected time, earn the respect of people important to me; -with time manipulation devices, it is very very possible to mass produce crops and fruits and veggies and farm animals at very fast speeds, and then store perishable items at ultra-low speeds; imagine being able to store meats in refs set to 1% normal speed and retrieving them only decades later, start entertaining zero-spoilage; -skip the coronavirus lockdown and jump back in only when its all done, a few months of inactivity gone in just a minute. originally i thought of spending my life only in the 3 months of summer, then skip on to the next summer 9mos later, skip altogether the gloomy parts of the year, watch everybody else grow older while i seemingly-stay younger longer in the real world, hyper-extend my life a few more decades into the future than normal, watch how everything we did turns out; -if ever there's anything that needs waiting, merely slowing down my speed will seemingly make the world go faster, and the waiting time shorter, the exact opposite of beating the deadline for something urgent. the device needs to be wearable, you run the risk of staying at the altered speed forever if you drop the device on account its not worn on your body, like if its in the form of a smartphone or something handheld, that's a really stupid design, at least place it in a backpack (something clinging to your body) if its really big.

I played Nanosuar 2 in school. Still have it on an old laptop. Actually, I think I had the demo or the mode was easy, don't remember. None of the things shot at us, and one day, they did. Even had raptors constantly trying to get us.

I know it had only come out a couple months before this video, but I would've loved to see the team joke about Outer Wilds shenanigans (destroying the fabric of space time either by creating duplicates of your scout or meeting yourself, telling poor Chert that the sun is about to go supernova and sending them in a downward spiral, half of all conversations with Gabbro)

What if I rewind the video by a minute or two? Does that count as time powers? XD

What about Time Shift, where you get a suit that can literally slow, stop, and reverse time around you just to get the edge on your enemies?

I remember Nanosaur as one of the only three games we got to play perhaps twice a year 2nd grade in computer class. I had no idea how it was done and class was short, so I never picked up any eggs, was aware of the time limit, or had any idea of there being any kind of story or objective in the first place, lol.

Ah, Nanosaur. I only found out the name a few months ago - back in the day it was simply That One Game On The School Computer. Don't forget to jump on the pterodactyl... going over the height limit gives you all weapons and tons of ammo.

Majoras mask isn't the only Zelda game to abuse time travel. In Ocarina of time you use it to plant weird beans and create music paradoxes. Oh, and change night to day to hatch chickens faster. In Skyward sword you do... something I think. Oracle of ages has time travel right? Either way Zelda titles regularly use time travel lol

I mean there's Dishonoured's time stop ability, literally able to pick bullets out of the air, or fire off several crossbow bolts and casually wait for time to catch up and witness the results, or placing lethal springwire traps on guards and await their imminent self destruction, but possibly the best is "fixing" the electric gates to recognise you as their friend and just appear in front of guards, taunting them into giving chase right through your gates to some rather spectacular fireworks....all's fair when the life of a young empress hangs in the balance.
