Happily buying the timer off your referral link. I’ve been looking for a physical pomodoro timer all week and none seemed right for me. This one looks perfect.

Thank you so much for sharing your strategies!😊 I appreciate how you explain your reasoning, experience and evidence in such a straightforward and accessible way. I've already added some of your previous advice into my routines and I have seen major improvement. Particularly the light exposure in the morning. Keep up the amazing work. You're gonna go far!🎉

Yooo why is this guy grinding so hard? I was watching, and for a while a was like, “ok, maybe I need these things. Maybe I need to be more focused so I can be a well-oiled machine that can and will get everything a brilliant, healthy and successful human being hopes to ever do in one day done.’ And then I was like no, I don’t ever wanna grind that hard. It sounds exhausting. I guess that’s why I have time to watch KZfaq videos high and comment on them.

I used to be caught in the self improvement cycle as well. All of these trivial tasks like cold showers, no fap, journaling, reading 1,000 self improvement books, etc.. Will not get you any closer to your hopes and dreams if you’re not directly taking action towards your goals. You just end up “productively” bullshitting.
@reysu
@reysu 3 ай бұрын
I don't think I'm grinding hard, it's just the way I am lol. I never "hopped on self improvement" or whatever the trend is, I just always followed my interests. Why would you force yourself to do cold showers, no fap, journalling, or read 1000 self improvement books

@@reysu When a house catches fire, opening a window to let the smoke out is a futile endeavor. The gadgets you introduce are similar because they don't address the root causes of stress and pressure. We live in a remote rural community where not a single person shows signs of depression, thanks to the highly supportive community we've built, looking out for each other. You're welcome to visit our village. We'll provide you with a bedroom, prepare plenty of local food for you, and you'll become a guest of our local music. You can stay with us for as long as you like, and all of this will be free of charge 😊

There's also a wrist watch version as well. I highly recommend it. When I was teaching, I used it in order to reduce my time blindness while working. It pretty much immediately improved the accuracy of my pacing and I didn't find myself wanting to go long or run short.

I recommend reverse pomodoro, since pomodoro can actually ruin your productivity if you get into the flow. Reverse pomodoro is where you time yourself, and when you really start to lose focus, you take a break equal to 10%, 20% or whatever percent of the time you were focused.

I used to work security years ago and that notepad thing is a real technique that people really use and it really works. The thing though, is that you might be writing random stuff on it, or you might actually be taking notes, the person on the other end doesn't have any way of knowing.

Get a switchbot, get a sunlight therapy lamp. Automate it => Wake up without an alarm ;). You'll train your circadian rhythm. Especially, if you are prone to SAD or depresso espresso during the winter time.

Don't take another pill if you are tired. When you are tired your body is pointing to the fact that you rest less than you should. Rest is most important for your health. Taking another pill might fool your mind for a period of time, but later you will have to pay a price for this "a pill for everything" mindset.
