I would like to see this done on a biological woman. Taking in cosideration a woman's unique biochemics during the 4 phases of her menstrual cycle. Too many health studies are only performed on men, and doesn't take into consideration the female body and the impact of biohacking, nutrition, and supplements, and exercise.

from a mind-body perspective, i'll add that caring for your mental health, healing personal and collective trauma, and connecting to what makes you feel alive (might be intangible) is every part as essential as these wonderful biohacks. thank you for making this accessible, Reysu!

Exactly. He focuses only on his physical health but not on his mental health and it is literally a fact that these two are directly intertwined and basically the two sides of the same coin. So I hope he does keep tabs ob his mental health as well, moving forward and give us his empirical wisdom at that aspect, too.

One thing that most fail to mention is that men have a 24 hour hormone cycle, but women have a 28-32 day cycle. So going in the sauna daily or even using high intensity exercise during the Luteal or during the beginning of the Folicular phase could promote weight gain, aging, etc. Food requirements are different through the month too, so women are wholly different in many respects from men in how we can combat the aging process. I recommend researching hormone balancing for women.

Huge impact from supplements usually can be gained from the cheapest ones. Its basically a 80/20 rule. Fancy plant extracts or most of the stuff he takes is like snake oil, it probably does something but adds very minor value inflating the list. That being said, IMO, Bryan doesn’t look “vibrant”, but a bit unhealthy to me. A little pale, but this country is obsessed with tans so I guess that’s what I’m used to seeing.I wonder if he plans on doing all of this forever, or is this more of an experiment? I know the original experiment that was ran on rats reducing their caloric intake to 30%, they originally felt weak and then overtime they got to normal energy state, and lived longer with the oldest mouse living upto 7 months instead of 5-6 weeks. But, the lab personnel caught a cold and all the mice died at once. The theory that you can live longer is true because with lower calorie intake on a prolonged period, your body will give up on immune responses and focus only on core systems. You will live longer as long as you don't contract diseases. This is the catch.

When I was pregnant I made an extensive research on what a baby need and everything boils down to sleep. Quality sleep! So a 3 month old needs a good “diner” to get a good night sleep, it means smaller meal before the diner or the 4 o’clock. Now my daughter is 4 and sleep is still the most important thing that affects her development 😂 if she is tired she talks back😂😂😂 sleep is important for learning and solidifying knowledge. Also when you are sleepy but you don’t go to sleep, your brain is confused, you start interpreting the need for sleep as hunger or need to smoke or if you have a drink you’ll sleep…

I think the issue with believing the 0.76 number is that the law of diminishing returns makes its mark at some point unless the technology outpaces cell death and decay, when he's in his 60s and 70s he will not be able to do some of the stuff he's able to do now to slow his age velocity. The only way he could is through medical tech which has seen a decline in recent years. Hope he does it or figures something out though, immortality or vastly extended lifetimes would be dope.

Even with a scaled back version of what he's doing my guess is that you will reap even more benefits. First, you're starting much younger than he did. Second, taking it to the extreme would probably make you miserable. He enjoys it, but not many people would get pleasure from that sort of lifestyle. Loving what you're doing is probably as important as any other factor when it comes to longevity.

I think I look younger than him. I'm a little overweight but I'm tackling that this year. And I'm older than him. But, decide what you want to fight your battles over. I see people with cancer throughout the years and they could still be alive but they chose to keep smoking after cancer treatments. just do what makes you happy and try to live life to its ultimate. In other words be happy with the choices you make

I'm Bryan Johnson's age and I look in my 20s as people say without the invasive procedures. It's all about good genetics and healthy habits while Bryan has to do a lot. I like to live to a hundred too while 200 is over the top. He seems fearful and not really enjoying life with his rigid practices born out of fear.

Hmm, i had my tumor surgery 10 months ago. Today i still on recovery, and yes i'm on diet : intermittent fasting, no sugar, less processed food, no red meat, almost no soy products (except some soy sauce just for condiment), lots of veggies, no industrial chicken, i got protein from duck, fish, eggs. Also the most important : lots of water, and 5-vegetables-soup (this is Chinese medicine) : made from carrot, shitake, daikon, daikon leaves, and burdock root. This unbelievable and simple soup get rid my tumors (leftovers from the surgery and new tumors that emerging after the surgery), and repairs my organs. Even my hair less gray than before the surgery. Fix your body system (repair the organs) if you want to reverse the aging process. Repait organs means your body will absorb nutrients better,Doesn't have to be radical but u need to discipline yourself. Doesn't need that much supplements.

Why do all of these biohacker guys always look reminiscent of vampires? That sounds so rude but I am not sure how else to put it. I will be 56 this year and lifestyle with some key supplements that are natural and preferably organic are the best benefits for longevity. I struggle with going to bed early but other than that I think that longevity is a practice. I know of a wealthy man who calls himself a biohacker. He is just shy of 40 and of Germanic-Iranian descent. He stated that his bio-age is that of a 5 year old. While his cellular age may be 5 years old, his physiology is that of a 40 year old visibly. That is not a criticism. It is an observation. I assume that people who are concerned with biohacking are interested in youthfulness. If your cellular health and your physiological aesthetic do not match up, there is a disconnect.

@DeadShot you just have to try different things until you find what works for you. No diet is perfect for everyone. Get your metabolic panel checked and try to find foods that are supposed to help correct what issues are found in your blood work. Stay away from processed foods and refined sugars. Stick with whole foods and cook your own. Just stay active and do some type of exercise. Also try taking probiotics of some type because your gut biome is extremely important.
@Ryan-wx1bi

@DeadShot if you're worried about the face, there are face exercises.. even just chewing food is supposed to help. Just do a mix of lifting weights and cardio. Weight lifting increases bone density and prevents muscle deterioration. Cardio, obviously helps cardiovascular health. Running is only bad if you do too much on hard surfaces, or have bad form that puts stress on your knees

The amount of difficulty it takes to maintain this life probably takes up more than the amount of time it adds to your life. With that being said the research he's doing on himself could be useful in the long term for the general populace.
@vectorperkins5666

No, he is doing much more than you would need to follow this. He is researching and recording all his data and testing different ways to stay healthy. You can follow his routine using a few hours a day. And that is including time you would have already spent cooking, eating, working out, washing, etc. Just like a scientist testing new medicine, they take forever to do it but you can take the medicine in a few seconds.
@StrengthScholar0
@StrengthScholar0 Жыл бұрын
@@vectorperkins5666 I think you're misunderstanding my statement. I'm not saying that following the protocol he will eventually create would take up more time than it adds to your life. I'm saying that the protocol that he is currently following takes up more time than what it will add to his life. That's the reason why I said that "The research he's doing on himself could be useful in the long-term for the general populace". I just wanted to clarify because I do believe that he is doing important work that will pay off in the long run.

Yes but this is also his full time project now, to me it does not sound bad compared to having a normal full time job... And someone has to do it! All of his research will benefit humanity in the long run, so that in the future we wont need to spend as much time on this to achieve the same results.
