Wow! I got chills when you said your new love interest has the same birthday and name as your Dad. I was close to my Dad too. I met my fiancé a couple of years after my Dad died and it breaks my heart they did not know one another. They would have been great friends. They have so many similar qualities. I love your shoe choices- and have a request- how about showing us some fashionable low heels/flats? I’m a dancer and only wear (low) heels on the dance floor. At 67, I avoid uncomfortable shoes - I’m preserving my feet for Argentine Tango, which is VERY hard on your feet. 😊

Omg that’s incredibly synchronistic!! What are the freaking odds that he would have the same name & birthday as your dad?!?! So excited for you ❤ I had a similar experience when I met my husband - he was a pilot in the Air Force (and the same rank) as my grandfather, who I was very close to before he passed away in 2002. I also had a dream about 10 years prior to meeting my husband that I fell in love with a military pilot. My grandfather was the only military person in our whole family so it was not like I grew up surrounded by the military or anything like that. Anyway, I’m excited to hear more about your new guy!! 😊

Oh yeah, blue is the color that I get complimented on the most. I'm blonde and fair with blue/green eyes and blue makes my eyes pop. It gives my skin a glow too. I most always get complimented when I am wearing blue.

Always love your style tips, but YES please to dating tips!! And please keep sharing your dating stories. We get to learn from you! I had similar situations as you (married young, divorced few times, always ended up with alcoholics, etc). Single again after an almost 3 year relationship , but feeling great! At this age, it has to go with our values and more on the easy - we just get along - vibe. Congratulations on a great first date. The last man I had a great first date with…I married. We were together for 7 or 8 years before we wed but we were engaged after the first year. Been together 22 years now. I to felt very comfortable with him, totally different type of guy than I usually went for. I was married prior and have two children and was single for 20 years. Instead of falling in love with another guy, I found a gentleman. He had no children but when my kids gave us grandchildren he was Papa and I’m Mimi. I hope you find someone as wonderful as I did. Crying over here at Meadow Creek. Your advice on clothes and more is spot on. You are sharing your inner beauty too-huge! Two things: enjoy every minute of your day, knowing God is using you to influence hearts and minds. Protect yours too. Hi Heather, I am so happy for you. I believe that when some blessing is our way God always gives us signs. When I booked my civil wedding date with my husband they gave me the same date my parents got married. My parents have been married for 50 years together. This was not a pre-arranged thing, it is them, the commune, who tell you when the date will be, we had literally no power or say on it. But God is great. I truly hope you have found the right person for you, and keep trusting that inner voice that never leads one astray. It is God's voice. Stay well, stay blessed.

I love to wear the color red. ..or white....or orangey red.... that's the color I receive most compliments on but I relate it more to fall. Is it appropriate to wear year around? Glad you're dating....he sounds nice. I have trouble seeing someone two hours away, though!!!

Great tips,I really like the cuban chunky chain choker you have on. All your outfits look very cool. I also think hairstyles can date a woman if it's the same since 1980 and never changes it, and too much floral prints or leopard print from head to toe. I hope he enjoys you just as much as you like him it's way better. My grandmother always told us to make sure the man likes you more he will stay longer and be consistent.

I agree with most of your suggestions- I love the white outfit - you and your friend look tasteful in 95% of the styles- but disagree on the Bettyboob platform heels, faded jean miniskirts and overly trendy giant flare jeans- it dates older woman-they look like they are trying too hard to recapture teenager years with teenager clothes. Older women wearing teen type styles looks silly to me! But the rest- spot on!

This guy does sound very promising. As others have suggested, please take your time and continue to listen to your intuition. How did you know you were ready to date again? I’ve been divorced for awhile and after dipping my toe in the dating pool and finding out it was actually an alligator infested swamp, I pulled back and have been hesitant to date again.

This is advice for women over 50?? How many of us would ever feel comfortable wear a mini skirt like this one? You have a beautiful figure, however, I think the majority of us...don't look like you. Maybe be more realistic for us over 50-ers.
