Heather, I struggle with being modern without being the proverbial “mutton dressed as lamb.” Though I must say… I am not the typical older woman. I do like to look edgy also. I will be expanding my wardrobe in a couple of months.

Biggest fashion struggles...buying for " fantasy" me and not "reality" me. never quite have all of the pieces I need to make a complete outfit...even down to the shapewear, right bra for the top, etc etc.

When you checked the boxes, you know he was not living in your same town. Why should he move? Why didn't you move if he is such a great guy. I changed my life to get married after being divorced for 14 years. I retired. I sold my house. (Not a good idea😊 rent it out instead). I moved to a different town. It was a great adjustment but I am strong, and prayed and adjusted. I also insisted we get engaged for 12 months (he wanted 3 months, I needed more time), so I can get to know him better, BEFORE we get married. We have been married 13 years this month. It is peaceful and quiet in our home. I wrote a letter to God 2 years before, giving Him a list of what I wanted in a man. God dropped him in my lap. He checked off all of the items on my list. I showed the letter to my husband after we got married. He thinks its just coincidence 😊

Those shoes a d sandals provide no support. I guess it's to wear for a few steps😊

You are very tall and thin. You chose clothes that work for you, but do not work for most. Even at 110 lbs, I do not have that type of figure and cannot wear most of the outfits you suggested. Skinny jeans are out for 2024. They still look great on some younger women who are fit. Older women look ridiculous in skinny jeans. It really look like they are trying too hard. The body looks good until you get to the face. I got rid of my skinny jeans, and am settling for straight legged khakis and dressed capri pants. I alter them to fit. Because I wear a size 2, and 5ft 2, I buy boys 12/14, or 14/16 depending on the make. Women jeans do not fit. I have a very small waist and little hips. I do what I have to do to find clothes to fit.😊

Heather you have provided years of inspirational looks and I couldn’t always shop your brands, sadly they were way out of my budget, even the dupes. I have however been able to find clothes at discount stores that come close to the looks. These are true to your style and I particularly like the length of the denim midi on you. Others you’ve featured seem to be too long. The shoes are amazing with the midi. You look so fresh and classy.

Heather,I love the walmart options . The lines they have online only are so nice ! what I do is I order a bunch of things try it on and if I don’t like something I’ll return it. I’ve bought some items I get compliments on. Every summer I order one of the white eyelet dresses .They hold up really well and they’re great to accessorize with whatever color you like. Thank you so much for the affordable options !!!!

I’ve been wearing Walmart from when Norma Kalami had her fashion there! When I wear these designs I mix them lightly and low. I always get compliments and giggle inside….❤️

Heather you made a throwaway comment about wearing a white shirt to work. I’ve noticed that all your outfits are always “perfect for a date night or a girls’ night out.” That’s great but some of us still have to go to work sometimes. I’ve been noticing that there are really no influencers who show cute, modern, outfits that are appropriate for the workplace. I’m a psychiatrist and in addition to my office I go to court and I go into jails. I want to look professional yet modern and also be comfortable.
