1. Pick a DAW and stick with it 1:03 2. Create a Playlist & make your own version 2:24 3. Be Minimal 3:54 4. Study MIDI Kits 4:55 5. Use Sample packs & save elements you like 6:24 6. Don't get stuck in the KZfaq black hole 7:44 7. Be consistent because you going to make trash 8:55

Matthew Jesse Yeah, so by youtube loophole, I mean constantly watching youtube beatmaking tutorials, but doing nothing else, not even making any beats. And if you once get stuck at watching vids, you may end up doing it all day, all week. It is very frustrating. So yeah thats it

Matthew Jesse to get off of this loophole, try pushing yourself to make beats or just set a youtube timer for say 30-40 mins a day max

Great video, great tips. I always get caught in the KZfaq wormhole and then when I try using my daw (Logic Pro X) to cook up, I end up getting unmotivated because I'm still a beginner producer and don't fully know all the controls to everything in the DAW yet. Baby steps tho .. procrastination is a mf.

switched from FL (after using it for 5+ years) to Live and have never regretted, just worked for me, never afraid to use something new and unknown, it might force you to evolve.

I love all of them have full version of FL and Mpc and Ableton small version wich come with hardware I like to belive i use all of their strengths. For example, mpc for grooving drums, ableton for its midi effects and FL Studio for routing options patcher and etc.
