My Blues always come seek me out by way of saying thank you after I have fed them and then they nap . Each takes a shift in sleeping with me (rarely together). They are wonderful dogs.

I dont think I've used the restroom alone once since I've had my heeler. She thinks she needs to run 24-7 surveillance on me. I move, she moves. They really are unbelievably loyal, and I tell people its like having a human they are so smart.

Blink frequently when making eye contact and talk to your dog like it was a human. And smile!~ A dog smiles in exactly the same way you smile, and the dog can see it just like you can see it. How many times have you seen your Bluey smile at you? A smiling dog is a happy dog. They use the exact same muscles to smile as you do.

@@vanessawilson7859 I'll bet. Here's a little trick for you which your dog will love/hate. Take your thumb and press it down on your dog's spine right where it's tail joins the backbone. Press reasonably hard and if you're in exactly the right spot it's going to numb your dog's spine in a really strange but pleasurable way. Your dog may even try to squirm around to ''bite'' your hand - but at the same time your dog actually loves this weird sensation and the bite will be a play bite and not at all serious. Your dog will squirm and try to escape while at the same time coming back at you bum first. My dog loves it. The facial expressions tell all.
