Destructive is an understatement. I got one of these from a rescue, thought it was a mutt and did a DNA test to find out I had a Dutch Shep. She's wonderful though, but yes lots of energy and exercise requirements or they become very destructive. Agree with everything in this video, definitely a dog that requires a lot more work than a Lab or a Golden.

I just adopted one from a kill shelter...probably 10 or 11 months old....incredible sweet. I disagee that a family needs to adopt this breed when I am one person and on day 1, took my new pup for 2.5 hr walk, swimming for the first time, home to sleep, raw fed, and brushed to get all matting out. I am a dog person and this dog is loved! I don't need a husband or kids here.....this pup will tet alo of what he needs.

This video is misleading at best. I've had 3 females and 1 male. Several problems (health issues, longevity, pregnancy, etc ) go away or are reduced by spaying. For best health effects wait one or two heat cycles. My females were significantly easier to train, were more attentive and more bonded. In my opinion females also are prettier. If you have a female living a block from a male, they are both equally as likely to stray. I trained my females to do certain tricks in one tenth the time of the male.

I had four Chow Chows and they all got along together with other animals (rabbits and cats, & one another). I had family over for the holidays and never had a problem with my Chow Chows being among them. It depends upon how they are raised and loved. My dogs were absolute "angels." 🥰🥰🥰🥰
