I like to call this a strategy filler. I don't have the original 7 Wonders game but I'm going to buy it eventually to add to my growing collection. Great review as always, gals. I'm quite happy to see your views on this one, and I'm always looking forward to lots more! Has anyone from Starlit Citadel considered branching out? Perhaps to open a store here in Montreal? :D

Hi! I really love this channel and was able to really use the information to buy a nice selection of games from your great reviews. You both do a good job of making unbiased comments. I was wondering if you would ever do play throughs again? It's great to see a review but I find it better to understand the pacing and flow of a game by seeing someone else play it. Even playing older games like Battlestar Galatica or a Pandemic expansion where one person has secret nefarious agendas is always fun to watch. Anyways, keep up the great work on the reviews and thanks for your consideration 😀👍

+prototypecetma play-through reviews are a whole different challenge. Not only do you need to explain the game (requiring some scripting & editing), there's also generally a lot of editing required to keep it watchable. Most games just don't work well in a play-through format without significant editing (no one wants to sit around watching a 3 hour game of BSG for example). In general, we keep to just reviews but occasionally throw in a play-through at the request of our patrons.

I find the term "filler" a meaningless "gamer" term and I wish it it was recognized for the in-group snobbishness it connotes.

i always notice how some hardcore gamers call some games "fillers", or "not deep" strategywise, yet always seem to lose at them. Splendor comes to mind etc.
