Installing brake and fuel lines. New 9" brake booster with new master cylinder. New proportioning valve under the master cylinder. Had to make a few brake lines for the rear.
Things that might help with a project like this:
Factory Style 11" Booster: amzn.to/2QtUXLy
Brake Master Cylinder: amzn.to/2SH9boR
Front to Rear Brake Line: amzn.to/2EfVERk

The rubber tube you put in is where a inline fuel filter goes. On the brake pedal where the booster clevis pin hooks there is 2 holes, top for drum the bottom hole for disc, The proportioning valve, when you swap the rear to discs there is a rubber valve you take out behind the nut you screw the rear brake line into to convert it to 4 wheel disc. Great video.

I just hope we can get the brakes and master cylinder bleed without making a mess.

One more thing. I would get the rear hose from National Parts Depot. I got mine from Inline Tube and I am pretty sure it's to short along with the wrong end for the 70 bracket.

Yep, bought one from inline and I think it's to short. Needs to be 16-18 inches

Looks great! I've never seen a flare tool like that. So easy to forget to put the fittings on first.. ;)

Just looked at your channel and I don't see any videos. Do you have pics somewhere? Were not making a show car or anything like that so if something isn't correct it doesn't really bother us. We just want a nice driver that everything works the way it should.

mossman381 no I don’t have any videos I don’t have the courage to do them. I’m the same with my car it’s going to be a daily driver no-show car possibilities. Lol I depend on you guys for reference. Thank you for sharing.

Sorry, I misunderstood you. I know a lot of people are scared to do videos and that is because of all the douche bag trolls that like to put others down. I for one would like to see more people show what they are working on. I hope my videos help others. I know these Camaro videos don't seem to get much views.

It’s you and Russ and Jeff who I look at for guidance. My 71 is a rust bucket so I have my work cut out of me. Keep posting and ill keep liking.

I am curious if this set up worked. Everything I have found on the proportioning the rear line hook ups are opposite from what you have here.

This booster wouldn't work with the vacuum this motor makes. With a factory type booster the car seems to stop good. We haven't been able to get the car on the street just yet. I have seen the brake lines put in opposite of what I have done. Weather or not that make a difference I am not sure. I do have an updated video of changing this setup a bit.

Question from Germany... my front brakes are disc and rear is drum. In the cylinder in the left "pocket" it is the fluid side and the right pocket is empty. Is it because of front disc and back drum brakes?

Another awesome video. I always wondered how they shipped pre bent lines so thanks again for sharing. Idk if it makes me a dink or not but I'd probably call them about the brake lines not fitting right in the back. Not necessarily for a discount or whatever but just to find out the deal. Anyway, great job man, I love these videos.

The back line deal I believe was me getting the wrong rubber line. I think it should have been longer and the end was shaped wrong. I don't have time to mess around calling them. It's easier to spend that time getting the parts that I have working. If I ever get the right rubber line down the road it's a pretty easy swap because I didn't modify anything on the car. And I see us going to disc brakes in the rear next year anyway.

In my humble opinion, the lines are incorrect. The line inputs from the Master are the ones on both sides of the brake warning light, rear feed out the back - where you have yours as an input from master.

It is technically wrong. I found the routing of the lines after this video but it still seems to work. I was trying to use the factory lines and use a different proportioning system. Once we get the car out and really get on the brakes I will report back.
