I don't know if best, bud nice yes. It is naive answer, but many people would do it if it don't damage their lifes just becouse of making life prettier, to enjoy thaht good feelings, especially when motivated by love.

Magus Medivh ahaha yeah subjectively best for me then, of course it would be good to do but under regulation, I think most people need to think that little bit higher of themself so they can be that bit happier however you shouldn't go to the extent of it being mentally draining for yourself unless that person is really in need of the support. To conclude you helping others even a little is going to make yourself feel better and that's a small price to pay for the self gratification you get out of it.

I totally identify with what the 69 year old man and the 72 year old lady said. My goal in life is simple: Not to commit suicide. Aside of that, whatever comes is a huge blessing. I was in a mental institution twice in a period of 2 months when I was 19... (I am 40 now) and I remember saying to myself: "The worst day of your life out here will always beat the best day of your life in that building..."

I don't believe fame will create happiness, what you love will. I'm 13 and my heart belongs to acting and writing, I want to be an actress and a screenwriter. When I'm not acting or writing, my goal is to make the world a better place by helping families in poor countries, endangered animals, and saving habitats. I don't care about people noticing me in public, or the red carpet. I care about the people watching and how the film they see will impact their views emotionally and personally. If they feel what the character is going through, they can make some great connections. It is a great journey to live in someone else's life. My current goal is to keep getting better at acting, as well as writing and changing the world for the better until my life is over. Remember, happiness is doing what you love. If you have a great love and passion for something, do it!

I respect your opinion, but personally I don't think that saying "I want to be famous" or "I want to win an Oscar" is necessarily selfish. Some people do have a passion for film or modelling or sports or music and it's okay if their goal in life is to do that full time, and for a lot of people being successful at what they love means becoming famous.

+Widia ningsih I personally believe humans adapt to their situation any way to how their mind is set. If you are rich you'll soon be used to that feeling and the "sudden" happyness will slowly fade away over time untill it is just the way it was. Maybe you'll change your mindset as a result of becoming rich, thinking, now I can be happy! But it is THAT what makes you happy, not the becoming rich part. I think what makes people happy is how they think, not how they are. Of course you have people in bad situations struggling to get through, and it's not their fault for not having a positive attitude. But most of the time our greatest issues are not so great. A bad grade, an argument or stressing over things that haven't even happened yet. I personally believe you can be happy by just figuring it out what makes you happy in your head. It doesn't have to be material as you don't have to do something you like or be in a position you like, to be happy. You can just suddenly decide that you're fine, you're happy, instead of always stressing and working towards things that won't actually make you happy, it'll just give you that feeling of accomplishment. Most people in the video weren't content, they still wanted to do something so they could become happy. I think changing your mindset for the journey is more important than thinking of the possible happyness at the finish line. It's just a state of mind after all, being sad, being angry, we all choose those emotions, why can't we choose happyness?

It's interesting how people become increasingly more selfless as they get older. Many of the younger people's goals were about being successful and happy for themselves, but as the video continued there seemed to be a shift towards making other people happy and sharing their knowledge and experience with the world. Of course, it's perfectly natural for that trend to occur, but still interesting how values can change.

My goal in life is to speak up for my people on our reserve (I'm a Dakota) that aren't able to. We hear we get well over enough, though I haven't seen a single penny go out to us. I want to stop the idea that Aboriginal peoples are different than most people. We're all children of God, aren't we? So that means we all deserve happiness, and if we look past our ways, we really aren't that different at all.

My answer as a 12 yo: Make people happy. My only life goal is to make others feel loved and happy around me. Cause maybe I'm on my worse but when people I love are happy so am I. I don't care if I "hurt" myself. I care for others to be happy! I think that feeling loved comfort and happiness is the best thing. I even wish my enemy to be happy and I will try my best for them to be. That's the worst thing on my personality but as others describe it, the most beautiful. So, my life goal, is to make others happy. I think that if everyone is happy, I will someday reach the level, of being trully happy and spread this.

My goal in life is to live. Go places, see things, learn things, meet people, gain wisdom. The fact that any of us are alive right now is a miracle in itself, and I'm not going to waste that miracle. People these days don't understand this. Society forces children to waste 20 years of their life in school, forces them into a boring dayjob, and when they eventually retire at age 60, they're too old to do the things they dreamed of as a kid. It's a tragedy... It's the biggest crime against life.

Yes, and some of these children may grow up to be open minded. I'm kind of disappointed that only one child said that she wants to CHANGE the world, which is what we need. As a 12 yo (I know I'm too young to even be looking at this, but I feel that starting early is always key) I want to be some kind of cosmic physicist that DISCOVERS and not just study what's available. Becoming famous is useless, and I think that there are 2 things we should focus on: making a change (whether it's scientific or simply change a child's life), and to enjoy life. Of course, many people don't realize this as children, but there are some open minded children out there, and we can change the world.
