People who didn't go to school regret not going. People who went to school regret not trying harder. People who tried hard regret not enjoying their time. There's always positives and negatives to our choices, best to focus on the positive rather than regret the negative.

@@danieldavis3035They don’t say they haven’t made mistakes, but that there’s nothing they would change. A regret isn’t simply a mistake, it’s a choice you made in your past that you would change. As that one guy said in the video, he’s made a lot of mistakes, but that got him to where he is now, so he wouldn’t change a thing. Obviously. anyone saying they haven’t made mistakes are being ridiculous, but regrets aren’t necessary for every mistake

I'm 22 and my one regret is waiting. Waiting for a "perfect time" before I do something, anything. Waiting for an opportunity to come by. Waiting for other people to catch up to me. Waiting for a perfect moment to say what I need to say. And many many more. So I guess, if there's any take away it's to just stop waiting. I really resonate with the 31 year old. I'm 19 now, my biggest regret was watching peers around me get made fun of, excluded, alienated, etc in middle/high school and not doing anything about it. It wasn't my fault that they were bullied but I feel that to an extent I'm also responsible for seeing and allowing it to happen. It breaks my heart thinking about how it may have affected these kids having to come to a place 5 days a week for 7 hours where they don't even feel like they belong. Stand up for people, you never know how much it can mean to someone for even just one person to show that they care.

Then asked me if I would do things differently. I told her NOPE...because everything I have done lead me to the life I have. I have a wonderful son, and believe it or not career and relationship decisions had an impact on me meeting my ex who I have my son with. i am 17 almost 18 now, and the regret that haunts me the most is not spending my last 5 years intensively cultivating my passions: music and art. i have always been aware of my potential, but i struggle to live up to it because of distractions and poor time management. so, i regret not investing in myself at an early age, thus becoming really technically good at my crafts. but lately i'm starting to think that there's a reason behind this: true awareness in our interests and possibilities come naturally at the right time in our lives (and cannot be forced), perhaps i just needed to gain mindfulness, experience and a hit of regret in order to get things going. especially for emotionally-based disciplines, which i'm interested in. and by the way, i'm still very young and i know can go far, if i set my mind to it.

I know there are 8 year olds better at violin then me and I could have written multiple books at this point, but there’s still so much time - if we start now.

I’m not even past my twenties yet, but my biggest regret I think is being alone. I’ve been way too picky with people and I know that a lot of them could have been friends with me for a long long time, but I just never gave people a chance to get to know them before making a judgment. I convinced myself that the right person had just not showed up yet, and even if they did, they wouldn’t stick around for a long time (or after college) Now I don’t have any friends and I’m kind of re-learning how to know how to not be picky without being gullible. And it’s so much harder to have a good friendship without school anymore.

I’ll also add that even though I wasn’t close with anyone, I did people please A LOT. Getting more and more desperate for someone to like me, when I wasn’t realizing that plenty did. Eventually I did find a friend; we told each other everything blah blah blah… perfect Hollywood friend ship in my eyes. But she turned out to be (literally) a sociopath who, without me knowing, was hurting other people including my family! After her, it was pretty hard to get over it and find a new person. So yeah 😅 there’s my splurge of random emotional junk onto the KZfaq comments lol 😂

My Mother died when I was 4. I can't remember her telling me she loved me or if I ever told her. I'm sure she loved me of course and I do remember some small moments and I can remember being able to remember a few more but our time together was so short. I certainly wish I could have known her as an adult and of course I wish she'd been with me my whole life but I don't think that counts as a regret. I couldn't have changed what happened so I can't regret it. 🤷‍♀️

It's curious how a lot of these are related to time, or, more specifically running out of it. A lot of are either about decisions they didn't make in the time they were given or are related to people that are important to them running out of lifetime and dying. Really makes me think about how time is such a valuable resource...

I am 33, what I regret most are not watching and growing up with my favorite Disney movies and not playing the sequels of Kingdom Hearts at 15 and beyond as soon as they all released, I was destroyed mentally, spiritually and physically at 15 years that it took me 14-18 years to reclaim my inner self. I didn’t heal at all just I got back my old self. My sufferings truly wrecked my life and my youth, I began to be so depressed I even changed into a different and a very miserable person. It took me so many years to return to who I really was and am. I finally beat all the Kingdom Hearts games and watched my favorite Disney movies within the last 4 years and 2 movies at 2016!!!!

It's not a diss directed at her partner. In fact it probably only proves she is strongly commited to them because otherwise it would be easy to break up and live the single life she feels she missed out on. I take it as meaning she wishes she had more time to go through life solo and discover things about herself that are often not quite as easy when you are thinking about the other person and how decisions affect them. Like people who become parents too young. Doesn't mean they don't love their kids. Just that they regret not enjoying their young independence when they had the chance. Most people truly only get that level of freedom right after school or after they retire and who knows what old age will bring or whether you'll be around to enjoy it.

You are who you are and every decision you ever made is the best you could have done with the knowledge and situations at that point of your life. Sometimes these decisions stay with us in the form of guilt. There will always be something to be guilty about, its a part of life, its because you are human and its how you learn and grow. Hoping to have made no mistakes in life is like wishing for something humanely impossible. So please forgive yourself and allow yourself to live your best.

I don't know how old you are and maybe that doesn't apply to everyone. But don't try to force yourself to be more social and to do things too hard. Maybe try to talk to some people in your environment and try to become friends with some. You might have friends and just not go to "fun things". So maybe you want to go with your friends to wherever they are going next time. Not always just try out. Maybe there are fun places you want to be (I don't know, maybe amusement parks, etc, whatever works for you) and you can ask your friends if you want to go together? If you say it's too hard, maybe you should consider professional help. It's not a shame to get help and it can change your whole life
