2. Stroh's

8. Head & Shoulders (With Ted Danson)
9. Michelob Light
10. Keebler Potato Crisps (That's literally what potato chips are called in the UK)
11. 7up (I really like the design of that can)
12. "Project U.F.O." Commercial Bumper (This show was produced by Jack Webb and was pretty much exactly like "Dragnet" except it dealt with U.S. Air Force officials investigating UFO sightings!)

14. Fotomat

30. Consumer Information Catalog PSA

37. "NBC Saturday Night At The Movies" Intro: "The Courage And The Passion" (LOL at that clip of Don Meredith)

The nostalgia I was just child in the 70s, but I remember a lot of those commercials. We had both a Ponderosa and a Bonanza, both are long since closed up, think they went out if business. Still have 7- 11 stores I remember the potato crisp wish they still had those. I miss the way Burger King used to be, they changed the way the flam grill their whoppers and they don't taste flame grilled anymore

0:59--We used to have both Ponderosa and its sister chain, Bonanza, here in Iowa, but both have sadly now disappeared from this area. 4:05--I wish Keebler would bring back Potato Crisps and the other crackers mentioned in this commercial. I haven't seen any of them in ages. 4:35--Cool 7-Up cans! Maybe they could go retro, like Pepsi, Mountain Dew, Dr. Pepper, and Royal Crown have all done in recent years. 5:43--7-Eleven is another chain that has disappeared in Iowa, but we had them in the 1970's when I was a kid. I'm pretty sure they're still around in some parts of the country. 7:16--I loved C.W. Post! Wish they'd bring it back. Kind of ironic that they discontinued it because it was one of the first granola cereals, and those seem to be pretty popular these days.

Well done. I was two years old in 1978. My only complaint is that the Colt 45 commercial didn't have Billy Dee Williams in it!

yusakug yeah I didn’t even notice it was him at first until the last part of the head and shoulders commercial. This must have been just a couple of years before Cheers. I also saw Candace Cameron (DJ from Full House and now Fuller House, sister of Kirk Cameron from Growing pains) in an 80’s block of commercials for teddy rupskin

Between Chunnnnnky Dinners, SORRY GEORGE, and the great Lemonade Wars of '78, what's the highlight of this video? None of those, it would go to Gino's Face (and the snappy jingle) at 13:23.

* Maybe Ricardo Montalban couldn’t take any time off from Fantasy Island. * I do like the 100 percent dialogue from the 70’s Keebler commercials, although “Ohboysees are o-boisterous “ catchphrase is a fond memory. * They still had to get permission to use Chuck Mangione’s song just for a bumper, right? * So is Ted Danson now using H&S on his toupee? * 7Up needs to bring back a throwback can.

Bionic Rejection? What does that even mean?!
@80sCommercialVault
@80sCommercialVault 6 жыл бұрын
The entire premise of the Bionic Woman is that she has bionic implants throughout her body that give her super strength and abilities and many episodes deal with her body rejecting these implants, similar to an amputated limb being rejected once reattached. In fact, in the introduction of her character on "The Six Million Dollar Man" she died because of that, but they brought her back and gave her a spin-off series because her character was popular.

Ironically or coincidentally, Bob Ridgely, who played the “The Colonel” on Boogie Nights, is shilling for Gino’s that sold the Kentucky Colonel’s Fried Chicken in the 70s. BELIEVE IT OR NOT

He was also the voice of many classic cartoon characters in the 70s and 80s including Tarzan, Flash Gordon, and Thundarr The Barbarian. I'm 99% positive the reason why he was cast in "Boogie Nights" was because he was a friend and colleague of Paul Thomas Anderson's father, Ernie Anderson. Anderson was the primary announcer for ABC in the 70s and 80s (Known for his "The LOVE Boat" promos) and Ridgely was also one of the main announcers for ABC starting in 1985. Maybe the strangest thing of all, both he and Ernie Anderson died of cancer only two days apart in 1997, months before the release of "Boogie Nights".
