I would say better to skip the A810 and maybe wait for the A810s. Bcs for some reason, 70mai decided to secretly ditched the dual band 5Ghz Wifi...It's painfully slow to transfer a 4k HDR video even with a high speed SD card (Extreme Pro San Disk).

Absolutely appreciate your efforts . Great comparison . Whether dash cam also gets any timely software/firmware update( bug fix , new feature addition) ? Have you seen any dash cam performing better after firmware upgrade ? Very strange to see focus is given to only front cam and not the rear one … The rear footage was like old Nokia mobile 2MP quality.. Specially the rear footage at night was very bad. Not sure why company is not focusing or testing these before release

Yes dashcams do get firmware updates via apps. Usually they are minor updates and nothing very drastic.

Very simple and clear video. Thank you! The reccomendation for a Samsung EVO Plus I'm also going to keep in mind. Do you have any experience with filters? You can get anti-glare filters for maybe 6-7euro's from China, which supposedly really help with the glare.

Finally someone who understands that dashcams are for reading license plate numbers and not just overall footage, and hence investing in a good quality cam is more important than skimming on this. Good job on the comparison, definitely helped me. Sadly the rear cam is not upto the mark, any idea if we can just get a front facing cam to use at the rear?

Yes you can use a separate camera for the rear, provided you have a spare 12V port for it and the wire length of this separate cam is sufficient to reach the port.

Almost all rear cameras even on 400+ dollars kits suck why low resolution 1080p or even 720 (1440p should be the minimum resolution!), small sensors very cheap compared to the Main Front Sensor, no OIS many even lack EIS, No lens polarisation Also manufacturers focus on more Megapixels on Small Sensor's which while it helps top a Limited degree (most Professional Cameras still use 16 to 24mp rather than 50 or 150 etc Megapixels!) so each sensor pads receive much less light thus less details

@@DarthAwarSo I am currently using the Viofo a229 plus with 2k cameras on both front and rear and the image quality is very good, I was able to read number plates both day and night quite well, and mainly coz of the newly launched Sony Starvis 2 sensor. I would say any new dashcam with this sensor would be a good choice. I even got a CPL filter with this for free (3 channel version, with interior 1080p infrared camera).

So I own the Seltos GTX+ 2023 model which already had ADAS built into the car, so didn't get a dashcam with ADAS @@DarthAwar and if you ask me, the dashcams with ADAS are very gimmicky as the warnings will get irritating after a while (having seen many videos of similar models), better to get a dashcam with great video quality for number plate reading, than go for something like that, if you ask me. However I don't know your usecase and maybe ADAS in a dashcam might be useful to you, although none of the Sony Starvis 2 Dashcams have ADAS, at the moment.

I recently got this A810 dashcam. I wanted to create a video combining both front & rear camera footage. On trying to open with many software in windows PC, I am noticing that none of the software play the video. Only VLC media player and windows media player. all other video editors like davince resolve and movavi are not playing it. Can you let me know what was your experience? and how to solve this issue? I use VLC only to play all sorts of videos. Hence never encountered any problem. For editing, ise Adobe Premiere Pro or Wondershare Filmora 12.

How can we connect to mobile using app?? Does it need phone wants to be connect in same wifi?? So does we need a portable router or 2 phones to turn on hotspot?? Im really confused about the connection, can u plz explain me in a simple way

Download the 70mai app on your smartphone. Enable wifi hotspot in the dashcam using the on screen settings. Open the wifi settings of your smartphone and search for the dashcam's wifi hotspot. It should show up in the list. Click on it and enter the password displayed on the dashcam screen. Done.

No you cannot track your car. You can download the GPS data after the car has stopped and videos are transferred to your pc/smartphone.

Hardwiring doesn't impact warranty. But, some dealership/brands do not recommend it and will say that it voids the warranty. So the safe way is to install hardwire kit and use it as long as you like, and before giving your car for service, remove the hardwire kit and set everything to how it was before. Once the vehicle is back from service, install the hardwire kit again. Problem solved.

I've just bought a dashcam with IMX415 and night performance is pretty terrible for license plate readout. I haven't tested in daylight yet, but I'm quite bothered that there usually isn't a single good frame at night to read the license plate.

I bought 70mai A800S 4K yesterday, looks like cam is bit heavy and not sure if the sticker can hold it to the windshield glass for long in bumpy roads, can you please throw some light on this?

Yes. But you need to check the length of the power cable. If the 12V socket is far from the rear window, the wire won't reach the power plug.

Aa, before this i use 70mai A800s, after 3 years it look like hardware matter after i try chnge battery still stuck at logon screen *70mai* then balck screen. But even after few hour, 70mai a800s still feet warm look like it still run, but screen black. Look like i need to upgrade or try using supercapacitor

Video clarity depends on the camera and it's settings. Not the memory card.

A810 is better due to the latest Starvis2 sensor. Z50 doesn't provide as good license plate readability as A810 in low light conditions.

I believe there's some issue with your rear camera or software glitch. I've seen other videos from foreign KZfaqrs for A810 there didn't notice such washed out videos.

If planning to change the dashcam position in future or changing car, install the cam on electrostatic sticker. If not, then you can install directly. Haven't tried Qubo N series, so cannot comment on that. But used 70mai A810 extensively and very happy with its performance.

It is not fair that you use 25FPS mode on the A810 to compare with A800s. Why don't you use 30fps or 60fps?
