My male is a big licker. My forehead, cheeks, eyelids, hands, all common targets. That's why I chose him when he was a baby, he kissed me and asked for pets right off the bat while the other baby bunnies all ignored me.

We found a bunny at the park several months ago and we brought her home she's the best she goes in a litterbox and she just runs around all day following me, she sits on my shoulder and watches tv with me. I never really knew much about bunnies before we found her but she kind of acts like a dog and it shocks me she's great we named her Honey ( just so I can call her honey bunny lol)

We recently adopted a non-spayed (until next week don't worry!) bun wife for our neutered male bunny 😊 a few days after they finished bonding, she started nesting for like 2 days and then just stopped 🤷🏼‍♀️

I’m looking into getting a rescue female bunny and this really helped. I jumped in the deep end when I got my male bun last year. Unfortunately I was very uneducated on the subject and got him from a breeder. I was lucky enough to find someone who actually loves his bun and makes sure they only breed a couple times a year. However now that I know how stressful breeding can be for the rabbits and the illnesses that can come with it I realise that no matter what a rescue is the best choice. Your channel has helped me so much this past year and I look forward to learning more from you and of course lennon. ❤❤

I have both male and female rabbit, yes my female rabbit is very sassy and my shadow always love to be in touch with me, everywhere I am sitting or standing, whereas my male rabbit loves my presence in his room, then he is more active and playful but not cuddly like my sassy gal. I love them both equally at the end❤

Great video, Lorelei! I've only had a few bunnies over the years, but one male that recently passed away was the leader, yet looked after the other bunny and would groom both humans and bunnies. A couple of other male would "air lick", but only when they were being groomed. One of my rescue females licks a lot. The difference in personalities is just amazing.

Hey Lorelei, thank you for the video. I hope that Lennon is doing well. I would like to let you know that my husband and I have adopted 2 new fluffbals (male and female bunny) from the rescue centre past monday. So tomorrow we'll have them 2 weeks already. The rescue centres and animal shelters in my country only (majority of the time) spay/neuter the male bunnies. This is the same for our new furballs as well so we'll be spaying/neutering our female bunny in may this year. We are very much in love with our babies since day one and are very happy to have them. We can't wait to see their personalities unfold for the years to come 😍🐇❤

My female is bigger than my male (same litter), and she's definitely lazier 🤣 she prefers to sleepily watch him as he does zoomies and binkies around the room!! She loves head rubs, but Ash is definitely more affectionate, and more trusting. He'll lick me and he's a lot more gentle than her. I fell in love with them when I volunteered at a shelter, I still wish I had had the room for their mum and sister 💔

While I had male bunnies, my current bun is neutered (the one before was in early 2000s, so we didn't know any better) and he is extremely territorial about his home base. He also licks me and my husband a lot. He loves hugs (on his level). But from what I remember when my grandparents had farm rabbits, females were more affectionate towards me. I treated all buns the same, in fact giving them food, cleaning their water bowls, taking them out was my responsibility (I was 5 back then).

1. Mostly (neutered) male rabbits are best with kids. Both sexes of rabbits make great pets if spayed or neutered.

I've had a female bunny whom I lost to renal failure (rescued from a bad situation and came with severe health issues) and now we have a male. She was much nicer and cooperative than he ever was! Hes a diva! He won't even let me groom him which was the total opposite of her. She's passed now and I still miss her. Hes a demon and he rules the house! Such a crazy contrast.

Maybe you should rehome him if you're going to refer to him as a demon. If he has behavioral issues it's not necessarily because he's a male, you know. My male is the sweetest bun you could meet. Rambunctious, yes, but also loving and affectionate.

My un-spayed rabbit had a false pregnancy when my sister was pregnant and my sister's cat was also pregnant. My bunny ripped hair out of her dulap and took hay to make a nest. Also, at the time I had this rabbit, I did not know how important it was to spay her and she did die from cancer. I don't think she made it to 4 years old. It was awful.

Doe/dam for a rabbit, depending on whether or not she is in a family way, is like a female cat being called a Molly, unless she's pregnant or nursing, which she hs then called a queen. Female mice are also called does.

I have to agree with your assessment of personality differences between male and female bunnies, having had one of each now. Attila (female Jersey Wooly) was hard to get to know, but once the bond was formed, she was a big lover and gave tons of kisses. My new male, Ziggy Bundust (Silver Marten/Dutch/New Zealand mix) is much more friendly to everyone, but only just started kissing, and only my feet and legs. He's also not a big cuddler, but quite rowdy and destructive despite being neutered. Attila The Bun was far less destructive, but more territorial. Funny little creatures!

I have a female bunny called Poppy, had her about 5 years. She lets you pet her and pick her up if she feels like it and though she will lick herself she doesn't really give kisses to people, she has licked my hand but hardly does it. She does nest build occassionly she has hay and shredded news paper in her mouth sometimes but she deffinitely isn't pregnant. She loves fuss and head rubs, she is soft and cuddly

Thank you so much for the video! my female bun, 3 years old, started pulling out her fur. we gave her a blanket and she was so happy. Whenever I would clean her playpen, I would lift up the blanket and find a ton of fur. I think she is hurting herself, any advice? btw, not spayed, and doesn't plan on spaying, lives alone, has never done this before.

I quite enjoyed these male and female bunny videos. If I were to suggest something to include it would be mentioning that females have dewlaps. I understand those lovely built in neck pillows to also be one possible source of fur they does use to line their nests with fur ive also heard they more often pull fur from the belly over the dewlap. I just happen to have fondness for dewlaps. I know the size can vary from breed to breed and species to species, as a Flemish Giant owner I have seen some very voluptuous dewlaps in the past 😂

My female (that was fixed right at 4 months) is a terrible digger compared to my male. She has dug up so much carpet! Now I know why! 🤣 My males go to when he was young was iPhone chargers. Lots and lots of iPhone chargers. Haha She has a wood and rope digging platform but does not seem to use it as much as I would like. I have seen that some bunny owners have a "dirt" dig box but I was worried it would encourage the behavior more.

I have 2 female bunnies and they both lick my hands so much. It's so adorable and I love it. They are not spayed because I talked to a lot of people who have bunnies and I talked to vet and the people I spoke with and even my vet said that bunnies don't do well with the anesthesia and there is a 50% chance they could not make it. And 3 of the people I spoke with told me that they all had 2 bunnies brought them to get spayed and one died during surgery right after they were given the anesthesia. So I'm terrified to get them spayed because I would never ever forgive myself if that happened.

My female bunny passed away not so long ago of a uterine cancer, she was only 6 years old. I miss her so much, she was my best friend. I never knew about this before. It is thanks to Lennon the bunny I got to know this. I just really hoped that I knew this before. Please get your female bunny spayed.

My female can definitely seem sassy a lot. 😂 I actually just noticed how big she is compared to my 2 males, I think she actually is bigger! She's a lion head and I also have a male lion head and she does almost seem bigger than him. This is really interesting!

My female was incredibly spirited and sassy. When she was upset with me, she'd hop off of the carpeted floor and onto the tile before thumping her back leg - probably to increase the likelihood I'd hear her disapproval with me. lol

My last rabbit was a male and he died of lung cancer. He was an indoor rabbit and most likely his condition was caused by the house up the hill having a major meth lab where the toxic fumes would stick close to the floor, seeping in through the not-very-well-insulated back patio door right where he would sleep.

My female bunny,Herbie,loved to be pet,held,groomed and fed. She was a licker as well. She would lick,chin and nibble my arms when I held her and she would fall asleep in my arms as well. My rabbit is a beautiful baby girl I love her so much but you’re absolutely right about spaying being costly 😢 for my vet it’s a whopping 400$ and that doesn’t even include microchipping and other things, but they did offer medication and a 2 day vet care for her.. I love her so much but I’m absolutely terrified of losing her to cancer I hope eventually I can get her spayed. Thanks for the video I learned so much just off ur channel❤ ( also my rabbit came from a breeder, I had initially told my mom I wanted a rabbit but I didn’t expect her to get one for me I was going to adopt but she brought her home one day I wouldn’t change her for the world but I wish I could’ve decided where my bunny would be coming from)

Lorelei, do you think the Oedipus/Electra complex could be manifested in pets/bunnies as well? I recently adopted a bunny and she is much more affectionate towards me than how she is towards my mom, and I've seen couples with bunnies, with the males being closer to the bunmom or the females being closer to the bundad. I don't know if the complex could be applied to animals as well

My female bunny (unspayed) is very territorial. Whenever I step into her pen she lunges and sometimes bites. Also when I am sweeping up her poops she usually tries to bite me. I also have had to stop taking her to run around in my room because she gets very territorial over a spot under my bed and it is very hard to catch her (last time I tried to catch her to put her in her cage she bit me 4 times). We were going to get her spayed a few days ago but we canceled due to her still not being 100% after being sick, and because its so expensive. Hoping that when my brother moves out I can get her spayed and then bond my 2 rabbits, and then put them in his old room.

One of my bunnies had a huge (one sided) war with my father. She wanted to take over the lounge room, but he wouldn’t let her. She ended up peeing all over the lounge and ripped up some of the carpet, so he kicked her out. This same bunny definitely needed to be spayed, as she unfortunately had a friable uterus at about 3 (or maybe it was 6) months old. It definitely would have lead to cancer and other issues

i can’t get my bunny spayed, bc i still depends on my mom and even tho she rlly does a lot for my bunny - she’s free roam, lives here best life. she won’t do it because it’s so much money and we can’t afford. :( i am crying in anxiety afraid she will have cancer.

I don't know if it's territorial behaviour or aggressiveness but i have reached that stage where everyone is afraid of my bunny except me (i have become numb to her biting i would just point my finger towards her and if she is pissed she will bite my finger and i would just ignore) she's now called the mafia rabbit 😂

My rabbit was spayed 3 days ago with a rebate and it went super smooth, she started eating as soon as we got home ❤

I have a female rabbit too! She's so sassy and smart, she can open a plastic bag and open the lid of her food bowl 😂 ❤

I’m thinking of getting two bunnies but idk if it’s better to get two males or two females I will be a first time bunny owner though so I am looking for the easiest option?
