You are very sweet. Thank you. I use Standard brand English Porcelain #365. It works so well for my paintings, but it can be tricky to work with

I find your videos concise, in depth and easily understood. I am trying to find the wheel guage you have shown for dividing items evenly into sections. It has the colored marks to divide projects out.

Beautiful as always. My favorite is the straight-ish handle attached to the two lugs perpendicular to the mug. I wonder though if it would be the least comfortable of all of them to hold 😂 When assembling these handles from multiple pieces, do you strength test them after finishing (like in your handle attachment video*) or do you presume that since you've used methods that passed the bucket-drop test that you're good to go?

Hey Em. I am impressed that you remember the bucket-drop test, haha. You are right, though, doing that test I was amazed at how strong the joints really are if they are connected and sealed well. so if I dont see any cracks upon drying, I am satisfied that even having multiple pieces , the handle is strong enough to fill with liquid and pick up and drink from.

@@annruel1982 Remember it?! Lol It's been incorporated into my pottery Bible. I've been paranoid about faulty mug handles that would hurt people since my high school pottery teacher told horror stories some two decades ago. In your video, I finally found an approach that gives me peace of mind!

@@embee7434 you made me smile Em! They are stronger than you think if you make sure you seal the joint..

This is so great. I love your videos. I had a question about your work surface. It looks like butcher block. Is it finished or left raw? I’m going to be setting up my own studio space and am trying to figure out which surfaces are best. Thank you!
