umm, probably because helicopters flying around might have spooked the horses? plus they also said that the thick foliage didnt provide a very clear view. you could even see it on the aerial footage they were filming for the episode. if a large canopy full of multiple trees is too thick, it kinda defeats the purpose of using aerial resources.
