I loved the Nier Automata one. You can choose to sacrifice your save data to assist other players playing the game. You then show up as a blip to help someone through the credit scene. This, combined with the music score, creates such an amazing feeling.

Always appreciate that Jules makes a point of calling out games like Hatred, not because it makes a huge difference in the world or anything, but because it shows he cares about what he says and wants his audience to know what his values are.

A little tidbit on Medievil 2. that downer ending is actually the bad ending. Someone screwed up the coding and reversed the unlock conditions for both endings. It never got fixed so unless they remake this game like the first one, we're boned.

SPOILERS: DEAD ISLAND RIPTIDE The ending I *hated* was the one from Dead Island: Riptide. It's a continuation of the original Dead Island, in that you can even keep playing your original character. So. You work your way through two full games of fighting the undead and saving the living. Everything is finally starting to look good. Time for the final showdown/end quest. You win! Yay! Of course, it *forces* you to do something stupid during that quest. And then punishes you for doing it. You end up on a boat, leaving the island. As you leave, you see *every single person you ever helped* die as zombies overrun everything. Yes, all that work spent saving people was a complete waste of time, they're all dead anyway. But at least you're off the island and safe, right? Nope. While it never shows it outright, it strongly implies that the stupid thing you did at the end - which you had zero choice in, it was scripted - has turned you into a zombie as well, and now you're on the mainland, and will spread the zombie plague to the rest of the world. Yes, *everything* would have been better - or at least, no worse - for *everyone on the planet* including everyone you interact with at any point during the two games if at the very beginning of the first game you'd just shot yourself in the head.
