IIRC back in the 80s, studios would promote their new artists' albums by using their songs for the opening and end credits of anime. Sony would often do this.

Absolutely loving this collection of classic Japanese city pop! The melodies and vibes of the '80s are truly timeless. I'm especially enamored with 'Adventure' by Momoko Kikuchi and 'Seishun' by Yuki Saitou - their voices and the arrangements are just magical. And of course, Maria Takeuchi's 'Single Again' is a gem that never gets old. I've been listening to these three songs on repeat for hours and still can't get enough. It's amazing how music can transcend language barriers and connect us to different cultures. Thank you for sharing this wonderful music with the world!

Im 37 and saw Tampopo for the first time a couple weeks ago. It made me wanna experience Japan in the 80s, so I youtubed 80s japanese music and discovered Japan City Pop. Now my entire life since then has been these songs.

man get over yourself, you go grab a random self hosted Ai program and see how long it takes you to get proper artwork without massive obvious flaws

@@nathanperquin9910 yeah dude, but this thing is just about typing and getting the pic in seconds, no comparison to the learning process of drawing, you can't put the phrase in your pencil and magically get the drawing done

Man, I understand your stance. I really do. I don't want to see a world where artists lose their jobs to A.I. technology. Art created solely by human hands can never be replaced. But don't you think you're focusing ire at the wrong person? We need to keep the technology away from corporations that never gave a single shit about art in the first place. Corporations could easily manipulate this technology and make it that much harder for artists to earn a living. A KZfaqr using the technology to find a thumbnail for his/her playlist won't mean shit in the long run.
