Eric and Darrell go to Florida for the first time. They drove separately with their parents and met up in Pensacola Beach. This is part 1 of Eric's perspective during the road trip. This is also the first time Eric and Darrell recorded together using a color camcorder (Sony Handycam 8mm).

We love seeing your old home movies! My favorites are just seeing everyday life like this… the drive through, vending machines, car trips, etc. I wish I would’ve filmed more outside my house like you did. That arcade was so cool to see! Somebody was having way too much fun with the superimpose button in this video, lol! 😂 My camera had that feature, and I was pretty obsessed with it too!

Pensacola beach isn’t bad, but Pensacola itself isn’t a nice are at all…my brother was down there when he was learning to be a fighter pilot in the Air Force…I’m from Baltimore and the area about 30 min from the beach is a rough look, lol

My grandparents took my sister and I on vacations to see family and friends. We've been to 42 states siteseeing and visiting. It was so much fun we have pictures but no videos. I wish I wanted a video camera back then.

Doesn't seem like it was that long ago until you realize it is. Of course our tech is better now but life overall was just way more relaxed back then. I miss the general attitude of those times, most people didn't seem to have a massive pole up their rears. It certainly wasn't perfect then but people (just out and about in the general population) weren't so aggressive overall.

Did anyone see the gas prices at Chevron at 0:39? It was $1.05 for gas and Chevron was considered expensive back then! Wow I miss filling up my gas tank with just $5.00! Lol miss the good ol days! Eric and Darrel you guys rock man!!

Early 2021 gas was $1.99. I filled my tank today at $2.57 a gallon and I've seen it go up to 2.99 and more even on regular

Being a kid in a loving family in the 80s was THE BEST! Europe and America. We had such similar lives although we knew MUCH LESS of each other than today. It's always interesting for me.

I love the nostalgia! Like I can almost 'feel' the time. I was a freshman in High School at the time of this video. I would have totally been in love with your sister!! These videos are so awesome. I love all these old videos! Eric and Darrell have had an impressively large number of fast food workers on camera over the years. Haha. I wonder what those workers are all up to now? The first one had a very 80's look. Also, loved the Double Dragon arcade game! Also, enjoyed Darrell's hallway dance. Haha. You two had a lot of fun back then and it seems like you still like to have a fun time!
