@@Eichmen I agree on the Maloo. I have a barra with an atomic 998kw rebuild kit with all the bells and whistles. It's just waiting for hoses for the radiator. It's going in my Territory. I'd still rather a maloo price wise...

@@r.mhaych5021 try put 1000hp through a barra gearbox.... It's cheaper to get 1000hp to the wheels reliably on a maloo compared to the barra... The zf gearboxes in the Terri's and xr6 are crap. And need a lot of money spent on them... I threw 10k at my motor and can say it'll take 1000kw at the flywheel. You're looking at $15,000aud for a th400 gearbox that is rated "up to" 1000hp... A ford c4 gearbox won't last long at 1000hp... they're good for 450nm of torque.... you're in the 800-1000nm torque range... You'd need billet parts to put that through any stock xr6 gearbox... That's $$$$$ And you'll need the diff and shafts upgraded... I'm running a 9inch diff in my Territory as the new m86 blew pretty quickly at 500kw on with the billet gears in the 4 speed btm box. That's running 4.11 truetrac... The maloo will take 650kw to the rear diff before it blows.... Where as you can get a tr6060 gearbox for a maloo rated for 950nm 1000hp for $5000aud Of the 2, the barra motor is super easy to work on, but there are MORE performance parts for the 6.2l maloo. And because the maloo has more displacement, it outputs MORE torque per hp...

Smh I agree, this ute would've sold like crazy in Canada if it was offered in LHD, and if it weren't for the rubbish American chicken tax rules that us Canadians have to remain stuck with, we would've gotten these imported utes and other subcompact trucks from overseas.

@@94toxic94 rbs start falling apart at 800hp. 2jz block deck warps at 1700hp. Partly grouted barras can run >2500hp. Not to mention the massive midrange torque of the long stoke 4L. It is the midrange tourque where most driving is done, and neither the rbs or 2jzs can match it.

It’s Sort of like measuring your street car’s downhill (unique context) performance and using that as a street reference point?

I wanted to keep my f6 and my last bf as close as possible to the factory feel so built the zf and it was bloody excellent felt amazing never had a single issue with 600rwkw daily driven on e85... have no idea how someone who watches car videos so should understand a thing or 2 could come up with a stupid statement like so
