Of COURSE it runs good and still pumps water. It only has a little over 8K miles on it! LOL And I'm sure it was garaged its entire life.

If it pumps water still they should still use it in service personally and it’s my opinion if the trucks works and pumps water don’t just let it sit in the station use it as a back up engine.

I'm 79years old & The old trucks put water on fires, same as now.They did drop hose faster.

Amazing how little has changed eh? Of course, the only difference NOW is that the old pumper trucks were reasonable in price. Now these fancy things which, as you say, put water on fires cost around a half million to each municipality. In MY town, they have become a parade showpiece rather than more for their intended purpose.
