Women and men both mature based on their interactions with the opposite sex and also what is expected of them from the opposite sex. If a woman will accept a player at 18 years old when she is also 18 years old... that 18 year old has no need to mature. While the female will mature from being hurt by that player. If she chose a different kind of guy at that age, she would see most men mature faster out of necessity to be what the female needs them to be, which is a provider/protector/future planner.

What this man said at 1:10 is facts and i speak on this all the time. Grown was different back in the days. My parents were married with my older brother at 22 years old and had me at 25 years old. Doing all grown stuff and still when i was say 5 years old, they made time to get dressed up for a night on the town while i visited cousins and grandparents... then the cousins would come visit me while their parents did the same. That was grown living. Now people dont want to stop partying and being selfish until 35 when they want somebody to clean up life for them rather than build it together.

The tired cliche of "women maturing faster than men" is based off of nature, not maturity. Basically, women physically develop faster than men in their teens. By the time they're both 18-22, the physical maturity of each is equal. People sadly take this point to try and apply it to other aspects of like like social situations and they're off based on that. WE've created an environment that is filled with so many comforts and conveniences that the things that women of the silent generation, boomers and early gen x'ers did is not in scope of many today.

i was 16 when i was dating women 32 and 35 years old. i couldnt tell any difference between and the girls i went to highschool with. Outside of the car, house and kids. When i was 16 i felt more mature than alot 30 year old women, i had my own car at 16 but relationships wise and emotionally i saw no difference when i was 16 between girls who were highschool freshmen than the women who were 35. emotionally and mentally and in most cases intellectually they were equal.

It’s a lot of reasons a girl can mature faster than a guy. One being have to take care of the household at a young age while the mother is out running around.. second one could be people touching her at a young age. Third one could be the environment that she is in. And she’s seeing her friends and family members mess with older man and is subject to peer pressure in that environment. The makeup part. Hey they been doing that for hundreds of years. I wear i liner. I don’t know if that is considered makeup. But they say your first initial appearance is everything.

So what is funny is this... the concept of 40 is the new 30 is something I felt society is acting like, but my cousin told me Jay-Z said it and I just found that out last week. So there is a difference between Jay saying it, and people seeing the actual behavior of it already in the mix of the culture of society. I think it has been there already because as the guy in the black said, we can see how grown ups were back in the days vs now.

Getting married and having children is no indication of maturity. Women were getting married at 14 and 16, three kids by 20. They were trapped and subjugated, not mature.

Thats how the world was back then.. 18 year old guy's Were classed as grown mature men Not teenagers Men at that age or younger were expected to find a wife get married have kids ..and expected to support the wife and kids Often men had to go away to work Maybe on a ship Just to support the family

As a matter of fact, in some states, men have tried hard to keep child marriage legal so it's not about the times, it's about predatory behavior.
