Always wanted a Clod as a teen. Just recently got back into RC again, at 47 yrs old. Now I can afford it but can't justify it just being a shelf queen. LOVE your videos.

These blue tie-rod ends have different hole sizes on each side! You push it on with the larger one.

clod bushings will outlive the truck if you clean and re-lube them often enough ! i did mine..prob every 25-30 batteries and never had any issues!

My dream car.... you and I in the same yearbook remember it as a boy... a dream! It was considered a cool brand in the late 80's... I had the Porsche 959... the construction of the kit is really fascinating!

Cedar Point Amusement park used to have a bunch of the old clodbusters in a little park and you could rent them .. They seemed to be really robust...

Nice video I have the same one, but it took me longer than 4 hours to build mine. I see that mounting those tires on the wheels kicked you in the ass lol… they were kind of tough to mount.

I won a clod buster at a regional event for 10th scale 2wd mod truck that I raced back in the mid/late 90's. The clod was fun but it was not my thing back then, it was slow and handled poorly and well it broke damn near every time I took it out.

What is the difference between the Tamiya tree sprue clippers and normal hardware store side cutters?

Carefully. Each one needs to be trimmed with a sharp hobby blade and separated from the paper backing.

What servo does anyone use to steer this thing? Wonder if the servo is actually more than the kit? Because I'm not trying to waste money 😂

The Reefs I'm using is probably worth about half a Clod.

@@scalebuildersguild I knew it! I used a hitec 645mg and savox 01230 I think 🤔. They both couldn't steer four tires even smooth laminated floors. I was pretty disappointed. Besides the instructions don't say what type works best. But I should've assumed it needed something three to four times the torque of a hitec 645 lol

I started building my Kit and I dont feel like the instructions are very easy to follow. parts and pieces are in random bags, it doesnt make sense. Any other kit Ive done each bag is a step so when youre out of parts you are done with the step. But this truck ive had to figure it out, and its a simple vehicle.. but man I dont understand the instructions thats why I came to watch your video and right away see your saying the same thing lol
