The cross-handling action of the trumpeters within the final cadence (8:52ff) is ever and ever very very awesome. The dancing performance of the band is excellent and the best ever seen. Thank you for uploading the Video.
Music is universal. Here we have salutes to Glenn Miller and Benny Goodman. From the US to these marvelous students I salute you. Can anyone tell at what age they start their musical training?
What is sensei saying? The audience seemed to enjoyed it.

He starts off by introducing them as Rikka High School as a joke. Rikka High is a fictitious high school from an anime inspired by Tachibana’s marching band. They played earlier in the day because it was the new school year entrance ceremony for the incoming freshmen. Last year, they had classes in the morning and came here, but this year, they payed at the entrance ceremony. Then had a quick lunch and came here, so they’ve already played a lot today. They don’t move that much during the first song they will play, although it has the usual jumping and flying around. It’s a song familiar to the people of my generation, the Nolans’ ” I’m in the Mood for Dancing” (although it’s called Dancing Sister in Japan). Old men in their 40’s like this song. We play old songs. - After I’m in the Mood for Dancing concludes: Thank you, I didn’t think they come out this much in the front. They're always doing something unexpected - sometimes even for me. There are many events in April. On the 23rd, we’ll be at the Blumen Hugel parade. Then on the 29th, we’ll be at LA FOLLE JOURNÉE at the Lake Biwa Hall. This is a 45-minute stage marching show, moving non-stop. Why are we doing something so stupid? (I’m not 100 % sure if that’s what he said exactly as I could not make out everything he said, but I think he said something like that) Last year, we were very well received. The 1,800-seat hall was sold out, and that’s how well received we were. How well we played may not have mattered much as long as the hall was sold out. So, they invited us back again. Speaking of invitation, for the new year’s holiday next year, we’ll be in America. We were invited back to the Rose Parade after 6 years as the representative from Asia. (Applause) Via Satellite, it will be watched by one billion people. For the next segment, we’ll play Glenn Miller’s “In the Mood”, with which many people are familiar. The 2nd song is a quieter song by Michael Jackson, when he was in Jackson 5, a ballad called “I’ll be There.” Followed by Start Wars Cantina. It sounds like “Sing Sing Sing”, but it’s not. We try to fake people out. It's like feint series #2. We always try to trick people, but eventually it turns into “Sing Sing Sing.” Then he said a few things that were mumbled, so I could not understand all of it. He did say something about Do My Best, which was the band motto for this year (I think). He said something like no matter what song we play, it's Do My Best. Thank you for your support. (Applause)

Midnight Rambler Thanks so much for the translation. With so much applause and laughter from the audience we( non Japanese speakers) must assume that Dr Tanaka was relating something really interesting, and we’d like to be in on it too😊 Thanks again from 🇨🇦
