PowerPoint presenter mode is getting a strong boost in features and functionality. That's awesome! as a teacher that uses PowerPoint a lot for classes, these new features add a lot of function and value to PowerPoint.

They should've made the mic/vid icon a toggle instead of having to click on the 3 dots per user. Maybe it'll be updated by the time it rolls out to everyone.

Unfortunately the new Shapes button (feature in the Whiteboard) shown a little after 3 minutes into the video is not yet compatible with the Windows 10 Whiteboard App. You get a placeholder with some message that the object isn't compatible. There's also lots of things in there that won't show up online or in a Teams meeting either if you add them from the Whiteboard app. They really need to get those two platforms for Whiteboard on the same page. This is an issue because when you launch the Whiteboard in a Teams meeting, you do get an option to open it in the app if you have it installed. SO, some people could be in the same Whiteboard within teams, others open it in the app, and they could be adding objects that the others can't see or interact with.

Mike is there a way to upload content in the breakout rooms for the participants??? Cos otherwise I have to manual create channels and then add the breakout content for my participants

Hi Mike, I have a question. I grade, comment and send back on my students assignments in Teams. I asked them to make changes or correct something and send them back to me. Can they do that in the same assignmanet? or Do they have to undo and then send the corrected file? Can you show the students' point of view? Thanks for your help ;)

When you set the timer in the break out rooms, does it give the participants a count down before pulling them back into the main meeting?

Hi, do you know how can I fix in the app a black screen on my monitor computer when sharing your screen on my other device? I do that to monitor what is shared and make sure they are listening ,while I check the chat, however after the update I can’t anymore except if I log in online unfortunately I lose different features 😢 is there a solution for that?

In calendar how do you get the week to start on Sunday? I have tried changing the language but it has no effect.

May I ask... after using the “Captions On” feature, will we be able to download the meeting transcript? I’m confused about how this changed.... and we need secure transcripts. Thank you very much for the helpful video. 🙂

However, while "Turn on/off live captions" and "Start/ Stop recording" are available menu options, it looks like we do NOT have the "Start transcription" option. I must contact our tech support folks...and see if they might be willing to make an exception for our team. :)

When our camera is off in teams Microsoft and our I'd is given by school management they have our I'd password can they see us when our camera is off like spy

When will rooms be created using tags? Is a pain, every class i want to put my students in groups (they already work in real and fixed teams) every single time.

If you have a recurring meeting, I believe you can reuse those rooms now. Give that a try

@@MikeTholfsen Yes. but we have a lot of problems when reusing same meetings for classes, like crashes or low performances. So the we are scheduling every single class.

Question…my students can’t see the PowerPoint Live screen annotations. Any idea about that?

After MUCH troubleshooting, here’s the outcome: 1) PC - the desktop app allows students to see the annotations on the screen but NOT the built in whiteboard. For that the whiteboard app can be used and shared via link., 2) Mac - the desktop app allows for seeing annotations BUT they can’t use the Whiteboard app. These students need a 3rd party shareable whiteboard., & 3) I-Pad - when using the app the students can see the PPT but not the annotations. They can, however, download the whiteboard app and use it normally. It’s insane! :-)

Are you using Office 365? It is already out on the monthly channels. If your organization if on the semi-annual or annual updates, it takes longer for you to get it. Go bug your IT Admin!

@@MikeTholfsen Chromakey so greenscreens work properly. Pretty much my only complaint with Teams. Have to run the cam thru OBS too the green screen before passing it in to Teams.
