Great video! Just a bit of extra info - If you have Promo Only Online as your record POOL; you can download directly to the "auto import" folder. Skipping two steps in this video. You can also check "create folder" in your settings and, once Serato is open, it will create a crate with those release names(rather than a folder "latest imports". For instance, "Mainstream Radio" or "urban Radio".

thanks for the tips, new with Serato this helped a lot. Switched from Rekordbox because upgrading my setup to a Rane Seventy-two mk2 mixer and 2x Plx-1000 turntables 😁 So i can play my vinyl and my digital music, and i am happy like a child 😂

How does your app know the correct year and genre?

If i dragged each folder from my hard drive separately into auto import and sorted the neelwy downloaded tracks into its proper folder, next time i open serato the tracks should open in their corresponding crate correct? Than just hit analyze and it’s done ?

I cant get past Step 2. I cant find the music folder on my MacBook. I dont see Serato music folder or auto import folder. HELP!!!

How do I get serato to show the tracks I moved into the proper folder without deleting the whole folder and re importing the whole folder again?

As someone who was an early advocate for Lexicon, it is baffling to me why you now recommend this method to people. Why would organising music into genre folders, be more intuitive than simply using metadata tags? I get that you want to promote your own product, but sorry that product is making this process way more complicated than Lexicon for beginner DJs.
