I still have my Furby, and out of nowhere 3 years after it not talking because I thought the batteries were dead.... It started talking from inside of my closet. I've never been so scared in my life.

I remember my mom bought me and my childhood friend Furbys for Christmas. She put hers in deep sleep mode, and somehow that mf woke up AND proceeded to wake mine from her nap unprovoked. We both took the batteries out, shoved them in the back of the closet, and never played with them again. 🤣🤣🤣

I had an original Cabbage Patch doll for my 1st birthday. I still have it! FYI: In Georgia, they have Baby Land General.They have it set up with a hospital nursery, and the dolls would "grow" the more you get to the main room. It has a giant shimmering green Cabbage Patch that would hatch a baby. Whoever yells the name out 1st would have gotten the baby. Pretty cool!

Didn't want it. Thought they were too baby-ish. Aunt got me one. I said thank you, put it on my bookshelf, never put batteries in it. Mf'er would make noise randomly. I tried to give it to my sister. She gave it back. I think I eventually sold it at a garage sale. Swear the thing was possessed.

My brother had one and he put a cigarette in its mouth and it, of course, said, "yum. I want more" But the talking nanos... I had a kitty. It was late at night, I was asleep. I didn't feed it or give it a bath. It started to swear at me! "You f***ing b****!! I'm f****ing starving and covered in s****. Take care of me, b*****". It woke my grandma up too. I took out the batteries and didn't okay with it again

You restore them - very cool! Do you know if there's a specific reason for them not having an on/off switch? Just curious.😊

@@cindys.9688 they have a light sensor in the front that's supposed to put them to sleep when it's covered, but those can become disconnected super easily or just don't work very well. Pulling the batteries will work without resetting the Furby's learning progress.

I still have one of mine from back in the day that my daughter's now like to play with. I take the batteries out from time to time, but it's quiet and doesn't say or do anything if my kids don't mess with it for a couple of days.@@cindys.9688

10:20 look up the Mirabelle doll of the 90s. She would talk to and interact with her little vhs movie 😱 I have some wild stories about her 👀 mom was totally convinced she was demon possessed 😅 My little sisters kept her locked away in the closet because she was making very strange “noises”…on her own😮

Furby worked without batteries because they had a powers source that could keep it going for a bit if the batteries died or were removed. I promise they weren't possessed 😂

My mama got tired of me crying in the middle of the night bc i was scared. So she tied my furby to a tree and shot it a couple times with buckshot. The batteries were out but it still went off a couple times. Sometimes I wonder if that furby still roams those woods

It was actually Tiger Electronics that launched Furby. I worked for the company at the time. Hasbro bought Tiger, I think the next year.

I got my daughter a Furby for Christmas. I bought myself one too thinking they could be friends. Well, how dumb was that! The one I got myself was possessed, or something. He would not shut up!! He would talk when no one was around. I’d go to bed and he would just start talking in the middle of the night. I even took the batteries out and he still wouldn’t stop. I killed it.
