I wish i knew 10% of what you know about Porsche's... I had a 1983 911sc 3L ... Man I miss that car!

the gas tank is 1 of the cleanest vintage racing tanks i have ever seen and it should look amazing when it is done.

Kevin should be a bit more accurate on the history of this car and the BOAC race at Brands Hatch. Siffert did not crash trying to catch Rodriguez. The crash happened when Chris Amon in his Ferrari 512 bumped Brian Redman off the track.

Thanks Jay, your right..... You see, Brian is a buddy of mine and I have trouble saying he was the one that crashed the 917 (004). I actually have trouble saying Brian has ever crashed a race car ...period! My reference was to say the "Siffert" (lead driver) "car" crashed trying to catch Pedro (yes 004 was trying to catch Pedro and did crash in the meantime).....it might have been a little unfair as to what I said in the UN-edited video....but it came natural for me not to say it was my friend driving said 917......my bad I guess!! The emphasis was to say how Pedro Rodriguez was so possesed that day, that even the greatest 917 drivers in the world, couldn't catch the Mexican! I have been very fortunate to have been Brian Redman, Derek Bell, Gijs Van Lennep, Bob Wollek, Milt Minter and Hurley Haywood's (all great 917 driver's) Team Boss and or Crew Chief, one time or another. I guess I should have kept my BIG mouth shut about talking about a-any driver that crashed in any race....especially if it is an incorrect statement as mine was. I will leave the video up but hope the viewers scroll down to read my "OOPS" and incorrect statement involving one of the "GREATEST" racing driver's of all time! RIP Jo Siffert and please forgive me for my Dumb and Dumber statement! Kevin Jeannette Gunnar Porsche racing PS even Jo wouldn't have caught Pedro on that very "Porsche's in the rain" day during the B.O.A.C. at Brands Hatch
