Approximately 2500-3000yrs ago (sorry my numbers are very incorrect) King Solomon sent to Lake Huron on its North Shore. They came up and found and mined GOLD, SILVER and several other metals. While HERE both in Canada and the USA they sorrrrddddaaa made some Families. THAT was how and why several tribes up that area ARE similar to Jewish believings.

Shalom Dr. Henry Abramson, My name is Carlos Augusto Welte, I'm a Reformed Baptist Christian from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and have watched your videos from a time ago. I would like to congratulate you for your videos, expertise, didactics, and talent. I've been a great fan of your work, despite some disagreements regarding Jesus and Christianity in previous videos. However, the fact of disagreeing in some points are not problems at all, since all people are entitled to having their opinions (scholarly or not). So, I think your work is really a treasure to anyone interested in Jewish History. I loved this video not only because it quotes Jewish History in my country, but because, as always, very instructive. What you said in this video reinforces something I wrote in a comment to a video from another Jewish channel that "threw the baby with the water" when considering the implications of the Protestant Reformation to Jewish people. As I wrote there, despite the shameful statements from Martin Luther against the Jews (that have been repudiated by most Protestants, including in Lutheran circles), I think that, for the most part, the Protestant Reformation was good to Jewish people. As you well put, the Dutch Reformed were very favorable to Jews, and the Puritans by Oliver Cromwell also favored the return of Jewish people to British territory. I don't know if you will talk about this in a future video, but the Puritans were also pro-Jews in several aspects, and if we have today the Christian Zionist movement, that according to Israeli Historian Anita Shapira, have been perfroming an important part to the establishment and defense of the State of Israel, its seeds began with Puritan and Reformed Christians in Britain, and before, with the Calvinist Reformation. And today, despite the fact that Jews generally consider Christians as "Jew-haters" due to the awful and terrible persecution suffered by Jewish people in the hands of Roman Catholics and Eastern Orthodox, as Former Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu puts it, Evangelical Christians are the best friends of the Jewish people outside of the Jewish people. And this to the point that Evangelical Christians sometimes give more support than some specific local Jewish communities. May G-d bless you enormously, your work and your family, Carlos Augusto Welte

As an early post ww2 boomer: Schooled in Catholic and Methodist schools...attended the old Latin Mass..and in our 20's by the grace and mercy of Gd became born again Christians. After the first 25 years of walking in Christ Jesus I have been a reformed Baptist/Calvinist Christian. You mentioned Netanyahu...well President Nixon proved he was a best friend to Israel and has an interesting response/action/testimony during a very critical time for Israel during his presidency...I "think" Nixon will be called "Righteous" by the Lord...even if he might not have been a "born again" Christian. Look up for our Redemption draweth nigh. NM👵

Fascinating! The man known as Christopher Columbus (Cristóvão Colón) was actually born Salvador Fernandes Zarco, in the village of Cuba, Kingdom of Portugal, the son of Dom Infante Fernando Duke of Beja and Isabel Gonçalves Zarco (unmarried birth). Zarco was supposedly Jewish. Her father, João Gonçalves Zarco, was one of three navigators to discover the island of Madeira. One of the other navigators, Bartolomeu Perestrelo, was the father of Filipa Moniz Perestrelo who eventually married Cristóvão Colón (Christopher Columbus, Salvador Fernandes Zarco). They lived on the island of Porto Santo (in the Madeiras). All of these navigators (including Salvador) were schooled in Sagres, and members of the Order Of Christ (as was the royal family of Portugal too). Do you happen to have any information on Moses Seixas and the origins of the Jewish community, Portuguese Jews and Touro Synagogue in the city of Newport, Rhode Island?

I learned that the first inquisition main base (church ) was established in Puerto Rico in the discovery of the western world. A lot of the words used in the island are actually ladino words and people claim its just words illiterate people came up with because of living in the mountains areas. It is said that they (the jews ) were the ones that pushed to create independent political parties in order to fight against the independence of the island against the spaniards .

Cristofo Colombo. I tend to believe there are enough hints to suggest he was of Jewish ancestry...
@jandunn169
@jandunn169 2 жыл бұрын
I think some of my Jewish ancestors came to S America and the Caribbean then went back and this explained a piece of the puzzle of my ancestry that shows Iberian DNA as well as Native American admixture. Columbus and his men were brutal in their search for gold and cut off the hands of the Taino who didn't meet their quotas for gold. The Natives faced almost complete devastation. I am both Jewish and Native American and sad for all my ancestors who suffered both in Kiev and in the Caribbean, Peru and Columbia from colonization. This is why I will no longer celebrate Columbus Day.

I have Jewish linage in all 4 ancestorial lines. How did that happen? Parents hid all this. My parents are related 3 times over in our Mennonite community. 2 lines are from Switzerland and area. Jews hid or became Christian or Mennonite because of persecution and then the Mennonites persecution began and so of to America. 1 line fought as Jews in WW2 and came from Silselia and 1 line faced persecution in the 1800s in Frankfurt Germany and left the tribe. Some PA Dutch words spoken are actually yiddish in our community. I only found most of this out after a Ashkenazi Genetic disorder show its head. Sorry about my English we live in a Dutch area. Our Mennonite community mostly come from the Zimmerwald Bern Switzerland. Jews and Lichty Mennonites seem to have been related and married each other. I have relatives in Christian and Jewish graveyards.
