Were you doing a research on hydroboost swap? We think youtube just bury our channel far down where no eyeballs can see us. Thanks for your respond in advance, and your comment.

You can buy all 3 banjos on eBay from CPP for $ 36. Some of those black AN fittings you have on the pressure line look like aluminum and are not rated for hydro boost pressure. You need steel on the pressure side. Brakes are the most important system in the car for you and others on the road. Never cheap out on that.

​@@asquaregarden thank you for the comment and for the knowledge sir. I bought two sets of bangos from CCP, those only worked on our 99-2004 hydroboost. The hydroboost I used for the coyote swap I am working on is the 96-98 Cobra hydroboost, it's a little different set up. Yes sir brakes are the most important parts of the car on the road.

I'm in the process of hunting all these parts myself Thank you! now have you gotten steel or aluminum -6 fittings? So far I've only fownd black fitings avalibel in the Earls steal Power Steering Hose Ends. To the best of my knowledge the hydraulic system is too strong for aluminum fittings & standerd hose, it can only be uesed in the low presher return lines.

Yes aluminum fitting & hoses work with low pressure return lines. When we were looking for these small parts to make the video, the world have shut down from covid19. We got some that were steel and some that were aluminum. A lot of fittings especially the steel ones were all out of stock or on back order for months, then months turn into years. etc. . . Good luck I hope things are a lot easier to get down in 2023.

@@mcscgreenwheels yes I had the same problem about that time of year! I ended up finding racetronix in Canada, they had most of the wierd fittings I wanted in stock. a lot of the stuff was actually more affordable, definitely worth checking out. :)

Thank you very much for sharing your experience with us and others here. It is a lot of research to do these swap right. Everything was out of stock when I made this video. Yes sir, I only used the aluminum fitting for the return lines. I got the high pressures lines and fitting for the high pressure.

That’s great to see it’s holding up well. I’m gathering fittings for my hb swap based off your videos and found most from a New-Line hydraulics near by for a fraction of the cost. Plan to make my own ptfe lines in time.

Why not just do fittings straight from the hydro boost? Why spend money and time on the factory lines then adaptor to them over just doing it directly off the booster?

Good point. You have to imagine when the research for this hydroboost was done, we are learning and documenting our experience. There was no video out there that have done what you where describing in detail for us to learn from it. I was very worry about leaking, I wanted things done the right way even it is costly.

I thought the 96 to 98 were standard threads and not metric? Is it possible to remove those high pipes on that and just run it to the housing? I'm oing from a 99 hydroboost to a 97 cobra for clearance on my 5.4 swap.

I wonder .would that setup work on my ford pinto.i can use a 90 model year foxbody base braket setup from a convertable.its only one bolt difference from a pinto setup that mounts to the firewall.just curious .i do a lot of out of the box thinking in my pintos

You guys used banjo bolts on the 1999/2004 hydroboost. I ordered the same banjo bolts and tried using them on my 1996/1998 hydroboost which the banjo bolts did not fit. My question is what size banjo bolts should I be using on my hydroboost? I would appreciate it if you have that information and share it with me. Thank you Sam Morales

Sam, the banjo bolts is not for the 96-98 hydroboost. It will work only for the 99-04. I went looking in my punished video here on youtube. I have an 89 coupe LX with the original engine. I have a Vortech v1 charger installed. The lack of vacuum has forced me to install a hydroboost system. I selected the 1998 cobra system as per one of your videos. My question is , have you guys plumed a 1998 hydroboost on a Foxbody with a 5.0

No sir, I am sorry. we have not plumed a 1998 hydroboost on a foxbody with an original 302 5.0 yet. We will be doing one on a 5.0L coyote swapped foxbody soon once we finish wiring the car and adding all the fluid. I hope I can remember to video document it, maybe might help someone out there down the road someday.

Man, great job on the swap! I do have a question. The blue fitting that you showed at 10:56, what did you use to make sure that the fitting wouldn’t leak? I bought that fitting, and used hydraulic lock tight, but I think it will still leak.

I bought a gen 2 for my 90 coupe and I have a manual rack and I run manual brakes with 93 cobra master.. do I need a hydroboost?.. or am I good?..I'm not running ps or ac either..

You are good as long as you have no leak. If you like manual rack, no PS, or AC either you way you are still good. The hydrobooster need a power steering pump that is one thing. If you are all manual, you are good. I just like to build with power steering, have AC, heat, etc since it is a restomod. We only video document these little tedious details and research on these builds because we are not seeing other doing it. We hope that our video might help someone down the road maybe someday. @@mcscgreenwheels great videos.. keep it up..I drive a semi and I like listening to foxbody content.. coyote..etc.. cause it's new to me.. before I had a built 408w but it was not very street worthy.. bought a gen 2 6r80 for its power and drivability.. wanted something that made good power and could daily it if I wanted..

@@johnmilner6505 brother be save out there. Thank you for commenting. 408W is a powerful push rod engine. Coyote gen 2 and 6r80 will accomplish your goal of something powerful that can be daily. I love those coyote engines too. I have two builds I have been working on. It is the little thing, the little details, the research that makes the swap a little difficult. I figured document in detail the work, and part list, maybe it will help someone out there someday. Thanks for commenting, and drive safe.

There are many ways to do this. We used the 96-98 Hydrobooster here. We were flip the high pressure and low pressure fitting by the power steering rack. After that was corrected We have not had any issue the way we ran this hydrobooster. Here is the video of how we actually ran the hydrobooster lines. @@mcscgreenwheels Right, but in the video you said you spent time and mo ey looking for those 3 hard lines that came off of the hydroboost setup. Could you have just found fittings for the hydroboost and not used the 3 hardlines? only reason why im asking is i have a 96 cobra im doing an electric steering coversion with and i was going to just install the adapter fittings directly to the hydtoboost and get rid of those 3 hard lines

@@anthony.james51 I see your point. Yes I could have just found the fitting. I did a lot of research I could not find the sizes for the fitting. I message a lot of people who did not know and some just flat out never responded. The truth is when I was doing this I could not find any video online on how to do it with fitting sizes. All I saw was people showing me that a hydrobooster is for coyote swap. When I found the post in the coyote swap groups about hydrobooster swap in foxbody, none of those post did the owners put fitting sizes. I message and message and message. This was a trial an error. Yes I spend a lot of money finding all these fitting until I found the correct one sir. I put the videos out for other people. I am sorry maybe I did not do a good job explaining myself, shooting the video, editing it, compressing it and uploading it. I hope there is still information in them that is helpful to someone.

I use texts in the video for part listing, prices and where I bought it from Mr. Green. It is in the video, the green text that occasionally appear in the frame is the parts, prices, and where they were bought from. Could I get the part numbers for the two fittings that go into the rack? The ones you got for 6 bucks a piece from technifit? It doesn’t appear you can order them offline. Also instead of banjo fittings on the first hydro setup is there and regular -6 fittings that I can buy? My hoses are gonna have 90 degree fittings on them going to the hydroboost

For the 96-98 cobra fittings could you remove the premade(stock) lines and use a another fitting instead of waiting for the line to be available? I ask because I slightly bent mine by dropping it in a move and heard they are beast to get you hands on. Thanks in advance

Hitmanpc3 I was thinking the same when I researched and did this video. I will have to do more research, measurement, and try what you are talking about for me to report back here probably in another video. It is a very good point you made. At the moment sir my answer is I honestly do not know.

As common as the coyote swap seems online, information on the littlest things, and little details that really makes builds such as power steering, AC, etc are neglected or just not put out there for people to easily find when they need it.

@@hitmanpc3 I just bought some fitting to experiment, thread measurement to see if they will fit on the 96-98 Ford Mustang /Cobra Hydroboost three holes directly without to hard to fine ford fitting extension arms. MAMBA Banjo Bolt Kit M18x1.5 mm to 6AN, MAMBA Banjo Bolt Kit M16x1.5mm to 6AN Turbo Water / Coolant Garrett TB03 T3 and O ring spittier return port fitting 6 AN x 5/16-24 for Ford Hydroboost. Now is the shipping is not messed up and blame on covid19 which is the new excuses when items are never shipped on time, we will see.

I was able to find, after some digging around the interwebs, mine happened to be all SAE sizes. Here is the fitting sizes that worked on my 96 cobra hydroboost: 5/16-24 low pressure (eBay) 5/8-18 high pressure (648030) 11/16-18 high pressure(648040)
