That is nothing special. Pretty standard to most 4 Gear Auto. Its a 3+ Gear Ratio, where the Car reach the Topspeed in 3th Gear, and the 4th is an OD, for Crusing. Best Mode to change for an 3.73 Diff.

@@wallywalters1176 Well, my english is not the best, so i try to explain as good as i can. The Diff gives your Car the Final Gear ratio. Mean, the Gear Ratios in your Gearbox are Fix, and the Diff make the Final Ratio. Long Diff = Long Gear ratio Short Diff = Short Gear Ratio = Better Acceleration. The Stndard Diff in a C4 is very, very Long. Means the Car reach his Top Speed of 270Kmh in the 3th Gear. Means the 4th Gear is basicly Useless. When you build in a 3.45 or a 3.73 Diff the Car become a Shorter Gear Ratio, and you can use your 4th Gear for Performance. Standard C4 Ratio 2.59: 1/ 85Kmh 2/ 160Kmh 3/ 260Kmh (Top Speed of the Car) 4/ 371Kmh With a 3.45 Diff 1/ 64Kmh 2/ 120Km 3/ 196Kmh 4/ 280Kmh

There is actually a governor on that car that makes it top out at 178. The tires are only rated for 178. It will go faster than that.

Nick Russo 91 isn't horrible. Plus I got it at a really nice price. The guy sold it cause he couldn't get it running right. The problem was that big square air filter was covered in filth . I changed it and let it reset. It runs beyond perfect. I bought it for 2800.00 and it had 49k miles on it . Now it's about 52k

And believe it or not i recently spoke with a dealer who said they had a vette that they also could get to run right, they didnt give me too much info but said that it was running rough but was still drivable. Was yours also running rough or not at all before you fixed it?

Nick Russo yes it was. It idled up and down. I took 5 gallons of premium fuel and Lucas fuel injection cleaner . Changed the air filter and it ran and still runs great!!!

The top end on the LT1 is great! I had my 94 up to 160 mph, it was smooth and engine was humming, all this hi hp is crazy, 650- 750- 1K hp is really ridiculous for the street , on the OK

Charles Williams I agree with that man, personally I would have more fun with something older that I could really run through the gears a little bit and hear that awesome v8 roar. A lot of these new sports cars are so powerful and unforgiving, you’d just have to keep a light foot on the gas pedal all the time unless you’re at a track, they’ll hurt somebody and or get you put in jail if you try to run them hard on public roads.

They are fast though most getting them don't know how to drive them almost any Tom Dlick and Harry can get one which contribute to accidents. I must(ang) admit that the 3rd gen have a very capable engine like the ls. @@LuxuryRumble This was with the Doug Nash overdrive manual. I at least had the headers and exhaust at that point and the car was running perfectly. Something's wrong with that 120. A v6 could probably push a C4 to 120. That L98 at 383" with HCI was in the 140s on Spring Mountain which is less than a half mile. Like a Challenge Stradale with the stoptechs on.

2.59 gears with 300HP Auto and the fantastic aerodynamics will give you 170MPH. Of course that’s with a well maintained vette.

The lt1 Corvettes top out at 172 stock. Put 400+whp in the same car and they'll go much faster, mine hit 193 qnd my targa tip cracked from a bad seal causing too much vibration, i almost shit myself. But i still had a few thousand rpk to go so i think woth proper seals and maybe a better areo it will hit 200mph without much issue. Car is still n/a with the 3.07. im a ford guy but the 1991-1996 Corvettes are the most underrated, best bang for the buck performances cars available to buy. I love my 92'

Those newer old c4s might not be the quickest accelerating car on the road these days by far. But you will have to admit, it's a highway missile it just looks like it's meant to cruise at 150 all day

@@prestonrivara7266 If you know about those Automatic Gearboxes, than you know RPM is the Worst Thing you can do to them. Most Original Automatic Gearboxes could easyly handle 1000HP, when you keep the Revs down. High RPM kill those Gearboxes, that is the Reason why the Manual Gearboxes have a Redline of 6000rpm, while the Auto have 5500rpm. At 0:16 you can see how the Gearbox Slippes.

I have a tuned 96 Z-51. His car shifts way too high. No horsepower above 5800 rpm. If he hasnt already, hes blown up his transmission. It slips through all the gears. Just listen ..

The fastest I've ever driven my '94 Vette was 147, but I've had it over 140 with my wife in the car several times. Quite frankly, I don't want to drive over 150MPH. I've always heard the top end was 167, which this video kind of bears out. My best time at the track was 13.6 at 102 MPH, and it basically did that in 2nd gear, because it went into 3rd gear, right before I crossed the line, so you're looking at 100 MPH in 2nd gear...

1995 was still C4. C5 started in 1997.

@@PeytonJones-oj9cc It doesn’t. 1984-1996 is the C4 Generation. 1997-2004 is the C5 Generation. I own a C4 Corvette and have done extensive research into the matter. It’s 100% a C4. C5 uses an LS. His 1995 doesn’t have an LS, it has a LT1 or if he has a ZR-1 an LT5, which I doubt.

I have the 94 corvette and have a few questions if anyone here can answer When I hit the pedal to the metal around 70 or 80 mph when it's about to shift again it goes all the way to the redline at 6 and bounces twice before actually shifting Is that the sign of a bad transmission and is there anything I can do

@@mdloggains I see, I just got my 96 C4 Corvette running right, it's a automatic too. And I'm getting it ready for Autocross racing and daily driving, so Its gonna be a new experience for stock C4s

@@connerdesomething6218 and the answer to your question is yes they changed it from 80s to 90s. Not only the Transmissions but the software controlling the car
