Pathe-Baby in France issued a shortened version of the 1938 Ray Ventura "Feux De Joie" 95 minute feature film on 9.5mm optical sound ( 9.5mm sonore - as the French would say) as a '6 reeler'.(about 42 minutes)
I guess "Feux De Joie" translates as "Fireworks" or "Bonfires"
- literally "Fires of Joy"?
Here are most of the musical numbers (performed by Ray Ventura and his Collegeins)
The band on bicycles - "Il Y'a Des Jours Ou Toutes Les Femmes Sont Jolies" -
("There Are Days Where All The Girls Are Pretty")
First hotel show (at a meeting) - "Qu'est-ce Qu'On Attend" -
("What Is It That One Waits For" ? )
Proper hotel show - "Comme Tout La Monde" -
("Like Everybody")
Novelty tap dance number - "Le Nez de Cleopatra" - thanks Carl!
Finale - reprise of "Il Y'a Des Jours Ou Toutes Les Femmes Sont Jolies"
