Well I gotta new transmission in and the wiring harness got wound up on the front drive shaft and completely destroyed there’s so many lose wires hanging down I been trying to figure out witch one is it but can’t

Mine came up as a code on the obd2 and said speed sensor that’s why I’m changing mine

it was hung like in 2nd gear also Abs light came on,, i mentioned that at the end any way i should of mentioned that up front go to the end when i drive the truck.

@@gibbydiy4235 thank you Gibby, Mines hanging in 2nd too, and the tranny feels like it doesnt wanna find a gear. Also, the gas milage goes WAYYY down, probably from the tranny not acting like it wants to find a gear. This happened about 2 years ago and it was the VSS...so I'm trying it again. That was about 50K miles or so ago...maybe more. The light has not come on yet, but the google machine says the light wont always come on unless it trips. Praying the new VSS is what the issue is. At the moment, i don't want to drive it like it is...the horsepower has gone away, but she still purrs.

I changed mine and it still hits 100mph at 45. I'm thinking about wiring in a potentiometer somewhere and re calibrating it while I'm driving. I know my speed by rpms but it would be nice so I put less miles on it

Technically you don't have enough volts going through to cause any damage when it's off.

I just got. A 99 4x4 suburban. It says I'm going 90 when I'm doing 60mph. Any idea what's the problem..guy I got it from never said anything about that. Maybe the difference in tire size? Or could it be this part?

There are two speed sensors, the one that is being replaced in this video tells the transmission controller when to shift. On an OBD 2 scanner that shows live data you can view the data from this sensor but not the one that drives your speedometer.

@@dontmesswiththeman mines is a 92 4wd Gm Yukon for some reason this is the only censor I see

@@DominiqueJeffries your 1992 has a different transmission, you have a 700R4. You will only have one sensor which feeds the speedometer.
