jetting for a mikuni vm30 for me was a 200 main and roughly a 41/41.5 pilot jet with the needle raised 1

Pretty good info! I'm doing something similar to my bike. If i give up on getting a stock carb tuned right i'll just buy the mikuni and use your jetting. Thanks man

I’m in the process of tuning mine. I have a 84 virago 700. I got a 35 pilot but now I’m having to mess with the main. I accidentally bought a 140 main which I’m hoping going to figure out a way to make it a little bigger.

I have a 94 yamaha virago 750 and put on a fcr35 and i cant get it to jet jt right what size u think i should do

I have the cheapo intake too but I'm having a hard time cause is not flush and always got a leak somewhere. Making some fat rubber gaskets and silicone to make it work, but I'm still struggling on the jetting in FL, main jet 180 and having issues with needle position, test all slots but still sputtering 3/4 to full throttle and is very frustrating. It idles perfect no issues but when I rev it high rpms in neutral it pops and sometimes clean but when I ride it it runs like shit in open throttle. Next I will adjust the valves and put a 190 jet and start in the middle with the needle, cause my front cylinder is the one I caught with a leak spark plug was lean so I put a hot spark plug in front and cold on rear and rear cylinder was perfect golden brown. I will buy the JKS intake cause I think it will help me a lot. Any suggestions it will be really appreciated man, great job with the video.

Sounds like alot. I would go with the jks ive heard good things about them n they can jet it properly for ur area

Out of curiosity how does the gas tank work being that the petcock is vacuum operated? And did u order a throttle cable or just trim down the stock one

I cant remember about the throttle cable but this bike is vacuum run so i just ran the original vacuum line from the old petcock too it

@@chazz1990camarors so your saying u hooked vacuum line to the vm30 cause I thought it didn't have any vacuum ports my setup on my 700 is pretty much identical to yours

@@miltonrobinson5183 their was a vacuum line coming off the bike that it ran into the old petcock i just swapped it out for a new 1. Then i just ran my normal fuel line to the carb from the pet cock.
