@moycorral7870 if your gear keeps slipping or transmission goes into limp mode. Take the whole transmission apart and change the 3/4 pison assembly and change the clutches. The rubber piston loses its seal causing and imbalance in shifting.

Have exact same issue, what did you have to do to correct? I have same thing only 2nd and 3rd gear have to shift manually, my OBD codes show a failure on solenoid A and another error code saying solenoid A electrical

Yeah same here I dont have a check engine light but mine slips in 2nd an no shift into 4th. I'm just hoping it's not to bad an it's just a partially bad part of some kind or if the transmission is just gone

Probably needs a rebuild those type of issues are not solenoid issues

You have no solenoids....the old 700r4 is not electronically shifted the 4l60e is ... Yours uses a TV cable

I already looked at the fluid an it still looks brand new nothing in it but I just replaced any way but I added the lucus non slip... I'm just thinking it's just needs replacing/rebuilt cause it's not throwing any codes

Yes, you are missing a drain plug. Seriously though he's right they don't come with a drain plug because some jackoff at GM figured it would save 87 cents to leave it off. I almost always buy a pan with a drain plug. Saves a lot of headache.

I went to a pull a part and found a pan with a custom drain plug on the trans pan. And swapped it out after changing my filter

@@RedfishCarolina They didn't put a drain plug it encourage you to replace the filter. That is why. Not to save money. You need to replace the filter.

@@autodidact7127 Perhaps but that's a dipshit reason to do it that way. You still need to drain the fluid to get the pan off reasonably well, but nope. You have to rip the pan off and dump trans fluid everywhere because the designers were a congress of jackoffs.

Fernando Gausin it did for the first drive but then started having the issue again so I took it to get checked out turns out in this case the guy I bought the truck from changed the ignition and did not wire it right forgetting to hook up some wire that controlled tranny through ECU which actually shorted the ECU and I had to replace that to essentially fix the issue. If you have not an ignition problem and such then it should stay fixed
