It never ceases to amaze me (and sometimes pisses me off!) that a tiny little insignificant thing like a fuse can lay low the mightiest muscle car in a flash! You must have been dancing a jig when you got back all those functions in your Cobra with a single fuse! Way to go Dan.

For sure! And in a strange way, rejoiced over getting back things I would take for granted. Quite a blessing in desguise 😉🙌🏼

That's awesome. That stupid little box causing all those problems!

Andrew Triggs It’s nice when it’s an easy fix- I knew the gauge cluster was working so I didn’t even think to look at the fuse- but that speedo sensor in the transmission shown in the last video is on a separate circuit. Diagnosing things is the best thing to do. I admit I am more likely to swap parts first ha ha

Congratulations on reaching 10K subscribers! Also, I can't tell you how often I've seen after market alarms cause a myriad of problems in a car. One friend with a Fiat completely stripped it out of her car, and ultimately sold the car because the ghost of the alarm would not let it be a reliable car.

I am super glad they simply used an add a circuit. I would be pretty upset if it was hard wired. 🙂

Wow! I can't believe that little fuse fixed all those issues! This is Awesome man!! I hope you guys plan on keeping this car? You guys should do a mid-pipe at some point!

Yes, keeping for sure. It has what appears to be the stock h, modified with only 2 weld in cats. I’ll take a closer look soon

I was the same way looking at the owners manual and looking at the 150 mph gauges. I also wanted the throttle body that the New Edge 2Vs has instead of my 3.8 L 2000. Now I have a 2V and it’s surreal lol

Those damn fuses can make you spend time and money on parts you don't need if you don't check them first. I had a CEL on my cobra that was giving me codes for both front and rear O2 sensors and a EVAP code. Turned out to be fuse #8, or #20, from the fuse box under the steering wheel.
@dannyjohnsonsgarage5 жыл бұрын
racequad9 Yeah, and I wasn’t even thinking of a fuse because the gauge cluster was working- the speedo fuse was on a different circuit. Good diagnosing is key. I’ve had a bad o2 sensor also lead me down the wrong trail giving me false info lol.

Thats awesome glad it was a 2 dollar part i was wrong lol
@dannyjohnsonsgarage5 жыл бұрын
You’re good- I was thinking the same as you. I didn’t even think it could be a fuse since the gauge cluster still worked. If was a different fuse than the cluster that operates the transmission harness.

@@dannyjohnsonsgarage Im glad we were wrong lol but yeah thats crazy it was a fuse. I wouldnt have tho of that esp if the rest was working good fix tho. I almost bought a 97 cobra but it was a lil to beat for me i ended up with a 03 gt not a cobra but once i turbo it then it will be close lol
