In my experience, having someone with you who is also a photographer can work, but non-photographers do not always understand why we need so much time to get just one single photo, haha 😆 Great comparision to painting, by the way. Hi Eric, it is good that to photograph something that is beautiful, that is definitely a good starting point. But fine art photography goes far beyond that. That you find that place beautiful can be used as the motivator for going there more often with your camera. But to get a fine art photograph in the end, you will have to find out *why* that place is beautiful in your eyes. You can have luck with a capture as you wrote, but in fine art photography we try not to rely on luck, but more on finding out what it is that attrackts us and to photograph the scene exactly with that context. I know that this all can be challenging in the beginning, but actually it is even quite easy. There will come a video soon here on my channel where I show how to turn a photo to fine art, where I share also all my thought processes out in the field.
