Ай бұрын

We race our fuel injected, electric start 500cc 2 Stroke for the first time against a full field of modern 450 four strokes. It's time to find out if this is truly the worlds best 500 dirt bike...
Kong started out life as a Husqvarna TE300i Enduro bike before we outfitted with BRC racing 500cc two stroke conversion kit to transform it into the meanest motocross machine around. So far Kong has defeated all comers in our shootouts and drag races, but this race at Long Buckby with Northampton Motorcyclist club will be it's ultimate final test. Our channel test rider Sean Smith will be behind the bars today. Let's hope he can stay out of the chaos and bring home the victory for team 2 Stroke!
A big shoutout goes to our channel sponsors for helping to make these videos possible!

Looked like you did a great job all things considered. That ground really isn't the easiest to keep prepped. A good mate of mine raced there on a CR500 years back and once the bowser ran out you couldn't see the guy infront for dust. Even the spectators were backing off coughing. I don't think you did too bad at all.

When racing, I usually start in 2nd. A perfectly executed 3rd gear start is awe inspiring when everything goes perfectly- or else you arent getting out in front immediately. You have to be intimately familiar with the bike to pull them off with any kind of consistancy.

I know its not fast but some of those slides toward the end are just cool. They reminded me of the old days where the 500's would get real sideways then just when you think you've collected it up they come into the power and go again. Its that bit where you realise the bike is just that bit more interested in lowering your lifespan than a 250 or a 4t which makes me love them. Brilliant experiences.

@@999lazer Thanks for doing the vids mate. You've been kicking some brilliant stuff out for quite a while now. I can't ride MX these days because of back problems but these vids have kept that fire lit and make me happy. I've always loved 2t's - the bigger the better and you seem like a man after my own heart. Kong is great. That thing is exactly what I would be building if I was still able today. Well that or the Yzilla - its a tough call. I would love to see you get your hands on a big Maico or something as a comparisson. Or even better drop a sidecar 700+cc into an AF and see where that takes you. Thinking about it that knackered old piglet would be funny to see with a massive motor...

This track should've been widened up considerably, along with more obstacles. I used to have a piece of land similar to this, and before every riding day, I would run the till over the track. It was the disc-style that was tilted inward with roughly twenty to thirty separate discs and it would churn up around 8 - 10 inches of top soil and it was an absolute dream to be one of the first bikes out there just holding it wide open while leaving a huge roost of fresh soil. That feeling of sinking down into the soil with the throttle pinned was just awesome. Eventually, it would naturally build up nice sized berms and develop beautiful lines. In case you can't tell, I really miss riding.

I've broken a bunch of ribs...it's the worst break I've ever had to live with. It hurts to breath, laugh, cough, stand up, sit down and to add insult to injury you can only sleep on one side. A pulmonary specialist reminded me that it's important to breathe deeply regardless if it hurts because secondary lung infections are common to those who break a rib.

Hellllloooo ive been loving the Big Thumper giving it to tjhe four strokers and showing the people that it was a beet up about stopping the strokers from continuing on as the superior class of motorcycle motor. I used to run a 500 two banger also but mine had four 125 cyclinders in A square four arrangment which weighed in at 110kg and that boogied like nothing i have ridden since !.Can you guess the bike it was a race only machine with rotary disc valve intake with 34 mm Mikuni s. I was half way towards building a 1200 four 296cc per cyclinder in the same layout but they stopped them racing and i lost my desire to put a couple hundred days work only to only ride it round in demo mode It deserves more than that . love the vids can almost smell the Castrol R from here in Aussie .....Smells like Victory lol : - ) looking forward to more KONG ZILLA 500 can you kick start it with good Boots on! see ya JCinAUZ

Congrats on a some great races and for toughing it out injured. The CRF 450 is such a worthy opponent with tons of power down low. Lot of CRF riders say they don't change gears much. They can do it all in third. The modern 450s have launch and traction control as well. They just have a lot of tech that still hasn't been put into the 2 strokes. I say this time and time again... I hope rules are modified to give 2 strokes a fair chance. It finally seems like a fair fight putting Kong against the 450s instead of a 250 2 stroke. Even changing AMA rules to increase the 2 stroke displacement to 350 or 375 would help get people back to racing on 2 strokes. A 450 vs a 250 is just not a fair fight. 2 strokes just shouldn't be leisure bikes. They should be race machines as well and go head to head with the 450s. Love the 999Lazer content. Once again, great work Sean!

Guy on the Honda probably had a close to stock bike compared to the Kong that had the best components and cost at least twice as much . My buddy had the same problem racing Quads . His was pretty much stock and the other guy had on over $32,000.00 USD . Good rider on a way better bike . Yeah they will win . Put them both on completely stock bikes with the stock suspension set up for each rider and see what happens and who will win . I'd love to see that comparison . 😂 Kong is a dream come true , I have to admit that . Race it against the other Monster of a bike ; The 700cc version of Kong . Love your videos and comments . 😊

Definitely option 2. Bikes are built to ride, it's their purpose, it's what they are meant for. Show bikes look so sad, it's like they're begging for a rider to release them. You'll have more fun on that bike than the money. Go for it! 😊

You really gonna blame the other guy after you ran into the back of him then pushed wide across the front of his bike?😂😂😂

Still really makes me happy to watch a motocross race and happier still seeing a 2 stroke win! The lap rider always has the right away, bad sportsmanship on the part of the slower racer.

What a tight and narrow track... the jumps are just step downs that slow you down lol

From what i've been told the farmer/landowner is quite strict on what they can do with the track....it's a sheep field for most of the year! lol Thanks for watching dude :-)

I live out west in the US. Is this a typical example of an English motocross track? Seems about 5-10ft narrower, no built berms, more flat-track style corners and much fewer jumps and seemingly only single and tabletops. It’s cool to see, and I love the grass start and the more natural layout, incorporating the existing terrain as the biggest features of the track. Can any Brit’s chime in and tell me if this is a typical track?

Theres no question anymore! 2 strokes rule! The manufacturers have to bring back the 500cc bikes and the 500cc Nationals and MXGP.

Another fantastic upload 🏁 I’ve seen you ride before you could have steered clear of omg what an idiot just because you are good at mx doesn’t mean you can safe others from their own mistakes every single time and you didn’t ran him over after all so no harms done ✅
