wow this guy's very good at selling his product he tells such a description of everything makes you feel like you have to have it, if I drove a diseal I'd forsure spend the cash it's worth it to drive your 50k-150k truck like it's supposed to driven without the terrifying feeling of your motor blowing up, what a shame almost all manufacturers are producing crap product and your stuck with a very expensive piece of junk, they should be held so much more accountable, also get rid of Gavin Newsome

Great to see Diesel Dog looking so healthy shame there was no upgrades for him lol Getting those parts fitted was a total no brainer for anyone with those engines as they will fail without them and yes I watched the whole episode including the techi bits. Making your engine run a little cooler with better air flow plus the oil getting better treatment will make your engine run better, cooler and give it years more life before major surgery . The fact you can dial in your throttle response and see such things as EGT plus the gas flow whilst not something your going to fiddle with daily or constantly watch does give you the opportunity and tools to keep an eye on your engine etc Great episode and good luck with your new home

Great informative video….. looks like you dodged a bullet with this upgrade. Just love the Banks outfit and the staff. We are back in Scotland now but lived in Texas for five years until 2018. Love your RAM….. during my time I had two F150’s and a RAM 1500. Miss them for sure.

That’s a sweet set of gear, my man. It all looks good, and it seems like it performs well too. I’ve been getting into some modding myself with my new Can-Am Outlander. Just mounted new 28” 8-ply tires to replace the stock 26s, they were full of plugs from the last owner beating on them, and a clutch kit to handle them and put down more power is going in 3 days from now. A conversion plate to mount Milwaukee Packout bins on the rear rack is on its way as well, and I’m eventually gonna add halos (color-changing LED rings) to the headlights to match the rock lights that the last owner added. My goal is to make the best trail rig I can, and it’s going well so far.

@@AdamSwords If you’re up for advice, it depends on what you’re doing and what you like to drive. Seems like you really enjoyed the X3 at King of the Hammers, and it’ll move faster and carry passengers. An ATV is a lot more nimble and easy to transport, but they’re no match for a Maverick in the desert where you seem to be most often. I would say an X3 XRS or a Maverick R fits best, but it’s up to you

Sweet battery choice! I’m though WHY my battery guy recommended the Red top Optima’s for my Ford diesel?? Why not yellow if they were tested? Now I’m going to have to research. I paid over $400 for each, bought 2, of course diesel. Hm?? Adam you’ve thrown a conundrum in to my purchase 😂

One problem to fixed new diesels. Delete them. Anything related to the emissions…get rid of it. You’ll get easily 3-400K miles off the engine with barely any problems that cost more than $1K. The transmission? Well that’s a whole nother story. I’m a ram guy and I’ll admit everyday of the week that the transmission on the ram’s is absolute junk. Around 100K you’ll get out of it. After that, start considering a swap of some kind.

All makes have problems lol it’s just weather one is lucky with theirs or not, I have 2, 2012 rams one is a 1500 and the other a 3500 mega cab. The 1500 has over 300k miles original everything and running strong, the 3500 has over 100k miles and perfectly fine

I was impressed with the motor in the F350 I borrowed from Lance Campers, but it was such a downgrade in terms of luxuries and driver experience. I’ll stick with my RAM!

I almost unsubscribed when you mentioned gale banks. Came VERY close. Sorry Adam but NO ONE that runs a diesel truck in the last 20 years uses any banks parts. All I can say is you should support local and small diesel shops that are struggling and doing the most innovation in the industry which as all the diesel boys know is NOT done at BANKS. If you go to a diesel show or racing event, you won’t see a SINGLE banks product on any of the trucks apart from maybe an intake horn. Just fyi 👍 enjoying the content. Glad it wasn’t a CP4 failure.

I’ll always go with the brands that can back up their claims, for this application, Banks came out top. Sorry you don’t feel that way but this ain’t your truck :) unsubscribing because of the parts I put on my vehicles seems a little petty. I’d hope that your loyalty ran deeper than that, but you do what helps you sleep at night.

Are you not going to be working with Producer Michael anymore now that you’ve moved? Guess Banks got out of the Tuner Market and instead just choose to fool your computer by making you gas pedal more sensitive. I’ve never believed in the pedal commander since I first watch what they do and therefore don’t believe in any of the other like them. If I want better performance I’ll upgrade a few components on the engine that are factory designed to reduce the output power so they can keep turning the power up little by little each new year with the same engine. Then I’ll just tune all the factory crap out of the computer as well. Have proven that I’ve almost doubled my fuel economy while on the highway, city and towing. My horsepower is much better, throttle response is much better and nothing I’ve done has even remotely hurt my engine which has been proven with 100k miles on it. All that factory exhaust crap destroyed my first engine and it was show It was the cause. My engine intake, intercooler, intercooler pipes, valves all had a thick black liquid sludge clogging them. After the upgrades my truck still has t seen all that black sludge since. Pretty obvious the France and California forced emissions crap causes massive issues is the fact that the federal government gets engines without all the emissions. Guaranteed Banks would be building and programming much differently if he wasn’t forced to by California and the EPA.

Maybe go watch some videos on the Pedal Monster va Pedal Commander to see how they work. They don’t give you more power they just sharpen up the throttle response and pedal feel which in turn makes the truck feel more lively. Like I said in the video, less pedal gives more power (more throttle, not more bhp). As for the emissions, you’re absolutely right, they’re definitely better off without all of that throttling the motor. However as the years have passed they’ve gotten better at making the emissions equipment less ‘restrictive’ in terms of performance and negative impact on the engines. We inspected all of my boost pipes and intake when we swapped everything and found there was relatively little soot in there from the EGR doing its job even after 47,000 miles. Don’t get me wrong, I’d much rather not have any of it, but you gotta play the hand you’re dealt and I’ve been very pleased with the performance of the truck.

@@AdamSwords Yeah, that’s what I meant. I knew there wasn’t any programming with the Pedal Commander. I’ve actually seen a couple cause accidents a few years ago (Not the Banks Version) with a friend’s and a coworkers truck. Ultimately, all that matters is whether you’re happy with what it has provided you and it obviously has. Just as I have been much happier with my twin turbo power stroke since having it tuned and a few other things done lol. I have beaten cars in races that a truck has no normal business beating while still maintaining the diesel reliability. Not having those leaking EGR’s, clogged up DPF filters or engine destroying DEF to worry about has led me to 100,000 miles trouble free. A big chunk of those miles have seen some very heavy towing for a 3/4 ton too. I’m just glad you don’t have to worry about the issues know to destroy the Cummins engines. I had several Ram company vehicles in the past that spent more time in the shop due to exhaust issues and the very issue you were worried about. It just puts a really bad taste in your mouth when you know how efficient and reliable diesel engines were in the past. I always thought that Europeans were much smarter for pursuing diesel engines in most of their vehicles years ago.
