This is a really cool one but I suspect it's harder than it looks. You have to really watch your symmetry. The upside is you get a unique piece and its way cooler than a practice stick. Thanks Kevin. Oh, and the smudged colour pencil idea is brilliant, I'm definitely trying that on a bunch of other carvings.

I buy it at a Home Hardware store. It's white pine I use. It comes from the east coast of Canada. That's where I live
