Accessed via the Black Mountain Express Chairlift. Trail starts right outside the front door of the Black Mountain Lodge. Very convenient, eh?
The January snow is wonderful. All of the early season man made snow has been covered leaving you with a soft natural base that is easy to get your edges into and carve nice turns. You are greeted with corduroy and popcorn first thing in the morning after midnight grooming. Very enjoyable skiing.
