This was also 20 years after he served vs when Lotr came out, he may have not had enough time to deal with it back then or even had treatment options. This was also right before he had to witness the final execution by guillotine in France. He also found glorifying violence distasteful, and if it wasn't moving the story anywhere he refused to be part of it. The grima wormtongue thing was where he found their minimal understanding of what death actually is while trying to reenact it so ridiculous that he had to step in and show them how it's done.

Not Gialli but both worth watching! Black Sunday especially as it's an absolute Gothic horror masterpiece. Kill Baby Kill is right up there with it in that regard, at worst it's every bit as good and many would argue it's better than Black Sunday. So far as Gialli go Bay of Blood is damned fun, and 100% percent worth a watch for horror fans, but it Pales in comparison to Blood and Black Lace. No film hits all of the marks of great giallo across the board quite like that one, and if I had to pick just one giallo to recommend to everyone that would probably be it, one of the first and best of the genre for sure!

@Cactus Yeah, it was an anthology film he did of like three shorter length spooky tales connected into a full length feature. It doesn't rank among his best stuff but it's certainly competently executed and a worthy watch at least once. And of course, It's where John Osbourne and the lads knicked the name for the now legendary band!

I'm going to guess 'boring KZfaq stuff' was James smartly realizing the trailers got less views than the KC videos so it was throwing off the averages. By streamlining them, he now gets a more consistent number. That's my thought.

@@zachreviews7867 well Christopher didn’t want to be involved in the later movies, he was basically guilt-tripped into being in them by Hammer who told him a bunch of people would lose their jobs if they didn’t make more Dracula movies, and that they couldn’t just replace him cause he was the star.

I think it’s awesome and so important to shout out these films that deserve more credit. Friday completely ripped this off and were talking about almost a full decade prior. It’s pretty amazing what they did here in 1971. I also see some Texas chainsaw in some of those low moving angles and even Halloween with some of those first person shots. Really good stuff here.

The 70's, the days when these schlocky slasher films were seen as truly horrifying because nothing like them had been shown in cinema before in terms of death and gore, rather than the cliché death fest that bored partygoers watch to have a good laugh that they would become in current times.

Very enjoyable KC. Thanks for this video. I actually caught this film while channel surfing a few months ago. It was very late at night & I was very awak3I love that Italian Giallo doesn't want to tie you down with a boring 1 genre movie or a cohesive plot or completely relevant characters. Giallo gives you: ALL- Of- The-Things! Why waste you time on 1 movie with 1 plot & 1 set of characters? It took a bit for me to learn to love this unique cinematic offering. But I totally here for it. The promo at the end is cool. The narration reminds me of Uncle Jesse at the end of every Dukes of Hazzard episode. We were given a charming idea of what they'd be doing between this episode & the next one. When I was a kid, my family watched DOH together every week, (back when it originally aired on 1 of 5 channels.) I'm sorry about the tangent. You just sparked a good memory. Thank for that, James.

As an Italian I'm so glad to see that it's not just English to Italian movie titles being botched but that's the same backwards since NOT ONE of the titles of this movie is even remotely close to the original "reazione a catena" which translates in "chain reaction"
