Great lesson, not what I have usually seen on KZfaq. I’m 3 years into learning guitar and can find the pulse easy but maybe not the down beat. Even more confusing is when a song comes in on say the third beat and some even overlap into other bars. I think Breadfan by Budgie does this and its very fast as well. I can fingerpick Smokestack Lightning at 90 bpm with metronome, it feels right. I believe it should be played quicker as fast as 110 bpm. I’m away from home for a couple more weeks. I think doing some Zoom or Skype lessons with you would really be the best thing to do when I’m back home with fast wifi. Thanks again.

This lesson looks like good timing! I was just going over my timing today, metronome etc to try a figure out how to improve. I can play a lot of songs but my timing is a bit lame or even worse.

What a great video. I've been trying to learn fingerstyle on my own for a couple of years and use a metronome a lot, but this gave me a lot of great ideas. How does the style of this video compare to your fingerstyle course? Would it be okay for a semi-late beginner? Thanks and keep up the great work.
@FeedbackGuitarAcademy
@FeedbackGuitarAcademy Жыл бұрын
Thanks! The fingerstyle course has a section on how to organize your practice and what to do during practice. Most of the course deals with mechanics (how you move your hands) in different genres. Its a progressive approach starting with easy skills but they stack up and get harder throughout the course. Its designed for late beginners or early intermediate players who want to learn the skills for fingerstyle throughout several genres so you have a good base to progress to advanced guitar specialties. You can send me an email if you have more questions, Id be happy to help.

I got it no problem. And when I play rhythm I can count. it's when I break off into lead It goes to hell.

Keep counting with the lead keep it slow. Be kind to yourself and give yourself plenty of time to learn new things👍

Is practising to a drum track better because it's more like playing with another musician?
