I don't watch many videos because, I guess, they just don't appeal to me. And writing a note to you is an extremely rare feat for me. But today, when I clicked on this to watch today, I was struck at how beautiful you look in the henley you're wearing today. For some reason, this color is "your color" and I'd love to see more of it on you. And I bet your other followers will agree with me. And I love Sadie's kittens. When I went to my first quilt class I couldn’t imagine hand stitching the binding down. Now it’s my favourite part. I’m thinking I might like hand stitching hexagons. I’m obsessed with knitting (I’m a dyer) but I should sew more because I love the results.

Oh no! May the cold go away soon. The gardens are absolutely beautiful -- even the "weeds." Mother Earth knows no bounds when she's left to create. I like hand sewn quilts because I feel there's more love and labor that goes into it. A testament to skill and passion. I also like randomness with videos. The surprise of different topics is a lot of fun. Those adorable kittens! I want to kiss each one on the head. =)

Well seeing this video was new to me! I am sat in my living room looking out at the ice and snow and so it was lovely to see you sitting outside in the sunshine and hearing the birds singing their hearts out. Here is one for you Kate. Yesterday I was going through some more of Mom's fabric and found surprises... "I wore this in 5th grade, I loved the spar...OHHI knew this was bright but it is like a neon light I wore that- 8th grade.... and look this.. cloth.. My first grade picture -this is the cloth from that dress.... I just kept going down memory lane... not the first piece was big enough to do anything with unless I take a page from one of your books. I am thinking about taking those scraps and fashioning little pages of patterns... like tiny quilts and using glue instead of thread just bouncing ideas at the moment.

Hi Kate, I hope you get better. Take the time you need to get better. I was sick, too. (Three and a half weeks-problems with lumbar vertebrae). On Monday I go back to work for the first time. Your new microphone is great. Your older videos were a little quiet, that's right. But I just raise the speaker knob higher. I like to see all your videos: The spinning of your wool, the chickens, the cats, the garden..... and of course the coffee and storytelling videos. You have a beautiful bouquet of flowers on your table. Are the flowers from your garden. In Germany, the Elderflower is called Holunder. In the past, the old people said, "before the elder you have to pull the hat, it is so healthy. And... an elder must never be cut off. The good spirit that protects the house resides in him. I've only just found your channel a couple of weeks ago, so of course I'm too late to participate in the poll but so far, I can't imagine you not being able to do anything you want to. If you had a need, I'll bet you could make bricks or wire up a solar system or just about anything that was within your physical capabilities. Oh the kittens are adorable. Sorry to hear you have a cold. Colds are miserable things. Not sick enough to be in bed healing and not well enough to do all that you want or need. Sitting outside in the sun always makes me real better when I have a cold. The lapel mic is nice and clear. I didn't need to turn up that volume. I enjoy all your videos so whatever you want to show us is fine for me. I received your lovely postcard. Thank you so much!

The mic made a difference although I didn't notice a problem before. I'll bet you named the ginger kitten Harry after the Prince with ginger hair! I like all the things you show on your videos...anything that is 'how to'. I think it is wonderful how you know how to do so many things. I love watching the quilting. I am curious to know how you hand quilt without a quilting frame! Can't go wrong with a video when you end it with a pile of kittens!

Prince Harry and other kittens all growing so fast! My dog got all excited when they started meowing! Mic is great! Volume was perfect. Feel better soon - Spring colds are the worst because so much to do outdoors! Love all your chats! Whatever inspires you will be fine w/ me! So enjoying your chats! It's like getting to know you more. Of course, I like the tours of studio and shop and demos of your craft. I wonder how you find the time to do all you do? I have a couple of questions for you. I'm making a round the world kit, I think. At least I'm trying . Could you tell me what weight batting you use and what is made of? I want to hand quilt it, I think. But I want to keep it simple, any suggestion of the length of stitch, fiber or pattern. I thank you for your advice. Namaste.

Firstly I remember that comment about not being able to hear you, the only time I had a hard time was when you were in the poly tunnel and I believe that was just the distance. Otherwise from the very beginning I have not had any trouble. I think you may have a bit of sinusitis going on Kate I can see that your cheeks are flushed and you sound thick in the throat plus of course the headache. Sure would like that cup as a mug! I loved the video where you were a tourist in your own town, would enjoy more of that. I enjoy all your videos so it is very difficult to choose. I miss seeing the hens and how there getting on. Loved seeing the jam and jelly, really can't pick just one thing in particular other than just sharing in your day. Just keep doing what your doing. BTW I take it your talking about a long arm quilter doing the quilt? Some of them absolutely do the binding for you at an extra charge. Your so lucky to be able to hold the kittens now, xxAngela

I smiled when you said you liked doing the binding....as I watch I am picking out the binding on a quilt I am making for a friend's grandson...it's a t-shirt quilt. I didn't take into account a puffier batting and the normal width is just too tight.....I was not thinking kind words about binding this morning! Like the microphone....and, oh my goodness...those kittens!!

We've had our roof repaired and the annual swifts haven't returned. So sad and such a loss in our urban area. Huge guilt! I'd like to keep an eye on the things we watch you plant. Kitten “Harry” is so appropriately named... love it! They are so sweet... I can just almost feel their softness! Take a picture of your quilt while up on the design wall and look at it on your phone/camera and out of place blocks will pop out at you. Really like the indigo fabrics! Best wishes for a speedy recovery. I so rarely get ill (teacher herd immunity) that when I am ill, I am a very impatient patient. The garden is lovely. The patchwork is calm. The kittens look so snuggly. I miss cat snuggles when it gets hot.

I don't mind when I have a cold I just keep putting around doing my usual things. One thing that does bother me is when my ears are plugged, I find it very irritating. CBD oil works for me ;)
