I am praying from Italy for the early recovery of those affected by the Noto Peninsula earthquake that occurred on New Year's Day 2024.
The first video of the new year is an introduction to Santuario di San Michiele Arcangelo, a church located on a hill in Salvarano, a town on the outskirts of Reggio Emilia, where I felt like I could spend a peaceful time.
To reach the church, you have to climb a steep, narrow slope. There are various Christmas decorations along the way, making you feel welcomed. It is said that some people have come all the way from Milan to have their weddings in this location with a wonderful view.
Every year, around Christmas, not only churches but also ordinary homes display dolls that recreate the appearance of Jesus' birth. Presepes donated by many people will also be displayed at this church.
There are also trekking routes around the church. It's nice to relax and spend some time in a place like this.
