The trip was to attend a meeting of the International Ballooning Committee, but I also found some free time to visit Bern. You can see mainly what my visit was like and some of the food I tasted during my stay in Switzerland. This is my second visit to Bern.
Designs of the "bear" (Bär in German), from which Bern takes its name, can be seen everywhere. In fact, during the warmer months, the actual bear can be seen in the eastern end of the city.

I really like Bern, which is only about three hours from Milan by direct train, and even though it is the capital, the old town is always (when I go there) uncrowded, calm and has a very nice atmosphere.
The Emmental cheese factory and museum shown in this video, which is not far from where the conference was held, was also very interesting to visit. I was curious to see the different procedure from the Parmigiano-Reggiano factory that I take tourists around in Modena.
At the end of the tour, we were very satisfied with the fondue dinner.

The food is pricey everywhere, but when you travel, you have to enjoy it, so we had plenty of delicious food.
