In this video CK Wraps shows us different carbon fiber films, how to get down with our Carbon Fiber Wrap and some super helpful tips and tricks.
Additional Gloss Carbon Fiber Installation Tips:
-When applying Tinybot’s 6D Carbon Fiber, we recommend tucking the vinyl in further and/or behind the panels compared to our other films.
-Due to the dual layer characteristics of this film water may enter the layers. Tucking the vinyl further and using our tips will help prevent water from entering into the layers of the vinyl.
-If water does enter and create swirl marks, let it dry, and within 45 minutes, it will go back to its normal state.
-When applying this 6D carbon, please do not overstretch. If over stretched, it can weaken the bond between the laminate and base film.
-Our final recommendation is the use of 3M gloss edge sealer tape (3M 8914ES). 3M edge sealer tape is recommended on edges that cannot be tucked in further exposing it to water entering in. This tape may also be used with edges tucked in as an extra precautionary step to ensure no water gets in during washing or rainy days.
-These points are here to help you and have been compiled with feedback from wrap shops, customers, and our R&D team.

@4:48 this literally looks like a piece of carbon fabric on my work table minus the sheen! If it was flat and not glossy it would fool the 💩 out of me! The end result is AMAZING👍

This material really needs ppf and/or ceramic coating in order to last longer than 6 months and have the same finish in our experience with it.

@@martineztimothy99 probably not nearly as fast as any other vinyl but 6months or so park in direct sunoight all dat does start to fade it

Great vid as usual. Is this darker than the vivid carbon fibers? I had thought of doing my hood carbon fiber but after seeing pretty much all the varieties vivid offers I didn't go with them because they just seemed too grey.

I bought every kind of gloss carbon fiber and hoping this one will match my real carbon fiber. Hope it's black enough and not grey like all the other wraps. Also real carbon has a brass/brownish under tone in the weave. A lot of companies put to much silver color. I have high hope for this.

I have the 6D carbon and honeycomb but they both separate from the laminate too easily at random spots. I had extra of each roll so I tested it out and the laminate comes off way too easily. then I go online and see others having the same issue. Has this been addressed at all?

So yeah tinybot carbon is a no go for me , fades to fast within 3months. Laminate comes off easily, it recently rained and somehow the water got thru the laminate

How much do you need to cover a hood?

Depends on the hood, normally 5-7FT 👍 but measure to be safe

Garbage wrap. Delaminates in a month and looks terrible after a year looks so bad i need to redo it with better material
